Denver won't make the playoffs. Utah will.
Just for fun, what is everyones opinion on how they think the west seedings will end up?
1. Lakers
2. New Orleans
3. San Antonio
4. Denver
5. Dallas
6. Golden State
7. Phoenix
8. Houston
Denver won't make the playoffs. Utah will.
What is that picture you're using for your avatar?
I'm just not sure about us winning the west. It's a possibility but I haven't checked the schedule. Phil will try his zen bull and let a few games slip plus Lakers will get y and let a few get away. As you have it I would love to play the Rockets without the Yao.
Take Denver out and put Utah there and then maybe. Also, GS over Phoenix? WTF both Denver and GS not making it...what you smoking![]()
1. Spurs
2. Lakers
3. New Orleans
4. Utah
5. Phoenix
6. Houston
7. Denver
8. Warriors
Lol at this Spurs homer now Mavs not making it....nice one...get everyone all fired up![]()
![]()
I actually think they will make it. It would just be hilarious if they don't.
If ya think they'll make it then why do you have them not making it![]()
Anyway...next year is the year Mavs going for it all cause that's their only shot for next 5 years![]()
My predictions. Somebody will have to bump this thread when the seedings are finally set:
1) LA Lakers
2) San Antonio
3) Dallas
4) New Orleans
5) Utah *
6) Phoenix
7) Golden State
8) Houston
* In effect they'll be the fifth seed since they'll finish with a worse record than New Orleans
Lakers over Rockets in 5
Spurs over Warriors in 5
Mavs over Suns in 7
Jazz over Hornets in 6
Lakers over Jazz in 7
Spurs over Mavs in 7
Spurs over Lakers in 7
As for the Finals, either Spurs over Cavs in 6, Spurs over Celtics in 6 or Spurs over Pistons in 7.
Division winners are automatically given the top three spots. Why do most of you have teams in the same division in the top 3?
No, the top four seeds go to the three division winners and the non-division winner with the best record, ordered by best to worst W-L records. Take last year for example:
1) Dallas 2) Phoenix 3) San Antonio 4) Utah
And in effect Utah was the fifth seed because they didn't have HCA against Houston.
The two dudes in your Avatar, not your sig.
Oh. duh.
Avon Barksdale and Stringer Bell from The Wire.
I am still reeling over what happened to Omar.
just......wtf
Have you seen Ep. 9 yet? Somebody else important bites it. Won't say who, but you'll know when you see it.
"How does my hair look?"
The Lakers had arguably the toughest schedule the first half of the season, they will face a lot of teams under .500 the rest of the way. They should be able to keep it going and win the West.
Lakers
Spurs
Mavs
Utah
NO
Suns
Houston
Golden St.
Denver might slip in and either Houston or Golden St. falls out. Utah will be 4 because they will be Division champs, but them and NO will fight for HC advantage which will determine the winner.
Best matchups will be with Mavs/Suns and Utah/NO. Mavs as winner in 6 and whoever wins HC between Utah/NO as the winner in 7. Lakers and Spurs with first round wins in easy 5 game series.
I like everything about that except if the Spurs were to play the Cavs it would be a sweep or in 5. And Spurs Celtics would go down to 7 IMO.
Lakers will have home court against the Spurs and it will be the difference.
@ Denver at the 4. They will be lucky to make the playoffs.
They move up one spot in their division and they are 4 seed right now, with the current standings. Not that far fetched. Had to throw a surprise in there or it's too boring.
They changed it after 06 when the Spurs had to play the Mavs in the semis even though they had the best record, and the Mavs had the third best record.
