Make sure it's not your cable box first ... ours was all jacked up yesterday, but it ended up being just the POS receiver.

Yeah, at this point with the non HD cutoff looming, fixing a legacy TV would be like fixing a Bic pen or taking a hamster to the vet. They're disposable.

Yeah .. I'm hanging on to mine like crazy. To get an HD or whatever the same size as the big screen we have now would cost a whole lot more than I'd ever pay for a gotdamn TV. Because I really don't give a if I can see someone's pores or not.

Well what did you have to do?
My TV would come on and start flipping channels by itself

the guy told me that sometimes the front panel controls get moisture on the circuit board, he basicly showed me how to unplug the controls. the tv will still work with my remote control.

    so far so good!!!!

While I'll get flamed for those with far superior technical specs on their tvs, etc... I've had the 47" westinghouse from Best Buy for over a year now and it's been fantastic... the one complaint I have is petty and is typical for most lcd tv's.... I bought it for $1600 at the time, I believe you can catch it on sale now for $1100. I liked it so much, I got it's little brother, a 32" for the bedroom at $550.

Yes, I am aware it's not the greatest thing out there, but come on, a large 1080p tv for just over $1k... it's well worth it. Love it for movies, gaming, etc...
