The contract Vassilis signed was for 3 years €5,000,000 salary, plus a $1,166,400 contract buyout making him the Panathinaikos Green's 2nd highest paid player. Spanoulis' agent set up the contract so that Vassilis could opt out of it after one year. Spanoulis originally stated that after the first year of his contract he might opt out of it and return to San Antonio, Texas to play with the Spurs again in the NBA, as the Spurs still would have liked to have retained his services.[9] Spanoulis also initially said that he was interested in returning to play with them for the 2008-2009 season, but could not play with them during the 2007-2008 year because of his mother's poor health.[10]

Coming from a Wiki source there's not much credibility in that. In college we are forbidden to use wiki as a source for any type of research.

I've watched all V-Span's games and i don't want to see him back in NBA. He's just not good enough. He's playing average in Pao and with JASIKEVICIUS are most selfish players in Euroleague. Check out his stats LINK and se TO, he's not worth money he recieved from Pao office.
Wiki is good for finding other things to look up/verify elsewhere. It's helped me a bunch in research, but no, you can't use it as a source. It's more of a cross-reference shortcut
