Nah, I don't think Obama needs to go negative to beat Hillary....
MannyIsGod? This is your thread for the taking.
All the talk I hear lately is whether or not Obama will take the bait and turn negatively offensive against Big Hill. Will he? Should he?
Yonivore, s like you are more than welcome to coin in. Because you're gay but most of the country is too, so your viewpoint is y yet very pertinent.

He hasn't gone negative?![]()
Sooner or later he's going to have to kill the .
"But will that make independents think twice about him?"
Nah. Independents don't like her. He needs to go for the KO and stop pussyfooting around.
You know what? Hillary and Obama both are going to wonder
where did all my voters go in the general. So many folks crossed
over and the media folks are ecstatic that all the dimms turned
out and tuned in........what a joke. It is going to be lots of fun
in November. Those crossovers are going back to home base.
EVERYTHING I read says Obama has won mathematically already, and Hillary can't win all the remaining primaries/caucuses by big enough margins to stop him.
MSM is keeping the Dem race going for MSM's ad revenues, not because there is a close race to report.
Hillary pimping McCain for Pres over Obama this week showed a lot people what a low-life s bag she is. She is a s monster.
Also her "Obama is not a Muslim, AS FAR AS I KNOW" was perfectly swift-boat slime.
It wouldn't even be that hard! Hillary set him up PERFECTLY with that slum lord comment and he didn't bite!? C'mon Bama!
Since he is up and should win though he might as well play the good ol' politician.
Man I hate to quote a boutons post and say I agree, but I really do agree with everything he said in here.
There is no reason to go negative. And as much as SA210 is butt hurt from having John Edwards out so quickly, no Obama has not gone negative in the least. There is a ton of dirt that he could throw out and remind the electorate of just how dirty she is. She's sitting back harping on Rezko as if she didn't have anything to do with the a lot of scandals.
Anyway, I hope he just keeps his cool and refutes her point for point but not in a negative way. The truth is that this race is over, whether or not the media wants to admit it or not. He loses what his campaign is built on if he attacks her with mudslinging. The truth is that if he really is intent on running a new style of politics then he needs to be tough and fight her point for counterpoint but he doesn't need to get into the mud. He doens't need to do anything like the muslim photo thing or her "as far as I know" answer. Just rebuttal her attacks on the issues and move on.
yes sir... it will be john kerry all over again... supposedly... supposedly the republicans were toast, but instead we came out in droves and beat ole john kerry and the dems...
McCAIN will win...![]()
MannyIsGod is in for a rude awakening when Big Hill cleans up the remaining primaries and gets more superdelegates through her treacherous schemes.
Here's is what Hillary sees as the 3 moves to get her the nomination:
1. win the popular vote (which kind of agrees with the idea she can't with the pldeged delegates) and use that to bring superdelegates into her column. The superdelegates who would throw the nomination of Hillary can hide behind the popular vote argument.
2. win re-runs in FL and MI
3. Tandem with her good buddy McCain to go "bad cop - bad cop" on Obama and destroy him. If she doesn't get the nomination, she wants to make sure a destroyed Obama loses this election.

If she has the lead in the popular vote, has primary wins in NY, CA, TX, OH, FL, PA, & MI, and gets enough of the party's upper echelon/operatives/media to go along then she probably could take it.
Part of Obama's gameplan has to be to ensure that neither Michigan nor Florida's re-votes are primaries, but rather caucuses.
And yeah, at this point she doesn't really care about what happens to Obama in the general, public protestations of her loyalty to the party aside. She would much rather prefer that if she does not receive the nomination that the party's candidate is rolled by the GOP in November. That would better lay the groundwork for 2012.
It seems to me that Omama's best strategy is to stay the nice guy and not have any unscrupulous attacks. However, I think he should very politely point out real tangible things about Hillary. I just heard today the "Three AM" commercial for Hillary is taken from stock footage. A woman in the commercial has complained because she is an Obama supporter!
Will the likes of CNN (Clinton News Network) report such facts?
Well, she's not going away. Huckabee was in far worse straits and he didn't go away, merely trying to bask in the media coverage and undoubtedly set himself up for bigger and better things down the road.
Like it or not (and frankly, I wish she was gone yesterday), she is not going away.
