The Spurs lost.
what the is a what if in sports? wgaf more like it...
Like many folks, who that witnessed the recent fiasco versus the Celtics, I'm carrying around my own "piss and vinegar" from that loss.
The question is, if Robert Horry hits that game-winning three, are you still just pissed today at the Spurs performance to this point in the season? Or would that shot, and subsequent win, put in you the "Spurs are back and rolling" camp?
I'll start by saying the joy and elation of that probable win would be good for one night. However the concern about their overall performance, in the past 4-6 games, would still be there.
What are your thoughts?
The Spurs lost.

I would still be concerned about their overall performance level, their intensity level, and their bench contribution. They would have let the Celtics come back from what, 21-22 points down, only to win on a miracle shot (and that shot would qualify) by Horry. Not tremendously impressive...though I would have gladly taken it,
The Spurs always have me wondering "what if"
What if Fish never hit that bull shot
What if Manu didn't foul Dirk
What if Tony Parker never met Eva.
and so on and so on. Just learn to not ask that![]()
What if Nash never got fouled?
EXACTLY...but let me answer your question WITH a question:
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
What if manu never fouled Dork?
What if that Derik Fisher Shot Never Happened?
No way fisher got that turnaround dashup off in 0.4 secs. I'll never except it!
If Horry hit that shot, 99% of Spurs Nation would think the Spurs are destined to win the championship. We'd all be posting YouTubes of Horry's greatest hits and talking about if whether that was his best one yet. No Mav, Sun or Celtic fan would be posting in the Spurs forum and no one would be talking about what is wrong with the Spurs.
That's the fickle nature of sport.
Cant say anything cuz it was our home court...
What if Dirk wasnt a.... feel free to complete
