True...but with that said, Garnett hasn't been very high in the MVP talks. It's just been the big 3: Kobe, LJ, and CP3 for quite some time. Whenever the argument comes up, it's always: "He may not even be the best player on the TEAM!! (Pierce)." I'm not saying he would have no chance...but if we DID end up with the #1 and if indeed it WAS between Garnett and Manu, they could make the same argument against Manu.

The only possible way to even think it's a possibility would be for the Spurs to win out down this VERY tough stretch and Manu consistently play at his 2 time player of the week status...neither are going to happen.

I'd rather him save it for the playoffs...

Manu averages a half point more than Duncan and you think he's more valuable?

What about rebounding? Duncan is the only rebounder or shotblocker on the team.

Ever see how many picks Duncan sets on offense. He sets more picks than anyone since Wes Unseld.

Duncan's assists are about equal to Manu as well.

Duncan should be the league MVP.

Take away Duncan and tell me the Spurs would be any better than the Milwaukee Bucks, with no big men.

Agree with the last part but take away Manu and the spurs wouldn't be a playoff team either

maybe but that doesn't change the fact that without manu this year the spurs would be looking for a high draft pick for next season right now

If by MVP, they mean the Most Valuable Player to his team, then LeBron wins it hands down.

LeBron took a team of scrubs to the NBA Finals last year.

Did Kobe ever do that? NOPE

Did CP3 ever do that? NOPE

Did KG ever do that? NOPE

true...but that still doesn't make him the MVP of the Spurs. much less the league.
