World Series of Poker here I come!

I just entered a WSOP tourney for June 23-25. It starts on Saturday at 12 noon. A buddy and I are leaving for Vegas from Houston on Friday afternoon, so I will have one day to get ready and play some cash games to warm up.

The first day, you play from 12 pm to 2 am(if you last) then it starts up again at 2pm on Sunday and you play until the Final table ias set, and you finish up on Monday.

It is a $1500 Buyin and last years' winner in this even got the braclet and 600K. My goal is to make it as far as possible and hopefully finish in the money, while gaining some experience.

It would be so cool to play against a well known pro and maybe even win a hand or 2 against him/her.

Good luck. I suggest you use your time between now and then to come up with an intimidating nickname that ESPN can latch onto. Something dental themed perhaps? Something like "The Drill" or "Jawbreaker". Don't try to focus on your game. That's a typical rookie mistake.

Actually the Main Event is the one you are thinking about. It has a 10K Buyin. The Main Even starts the first week in July and lasts about a week to 8 days. There are 50 tourneys all together, and they have different Buyins from 1K to 50K.

Kori, you should do that. It would be a birthday present to yourself, since it starts the day after your birthday. You would be playing against the likes of Shannon Elizabeth, Jennifer Tilly, Annie Duke, Jennifer Harmon, Kathy Liebert and Cindy Violette. That would be awesome.
