House of Payne

Anyone watch this show? I watched about 15 mins of it one day and I don't get it. There are a lot of instances where they say something thats not a joke and its followed by canned laughter. Last night, they must've promo'd it 40 times. One promo claimed "cable's #1 sitcom of all time".

How could that be possible?

As bad as House Of Payne is, I think even white people will agree that the Bill Engvall Show is infinitely worse. Not that I've watched much of either, but the little bit I saw of both led me to this conclusion.

I loved cosby and martin and pick any other african american sitcom. Those shows were HILARIOUS. I've seen every promo for this show and I just don't get it. Was I supposed to watch it from the beginning? And if its so bad, why does TNT/TBS promo the out of it??

Haven't watch BE yet, but that doesn't look good at all. I'm not too much a fan of the blue collar comedy.

Between the House of Payne spots and the annoying as The Closer spots, I'm surprised TNT was able to show any basketball at all.
