Nope
will boston be the first team in eastern conference history to hold the #1 seed and lose to the 8 seed in the first round?
edit: in a best of 7 series.

If there was ever any possibility of it happening, you just officially jinxed it.
lets not forget, TECHNICALLY garnett should be suspended for game 5 in boston.
Wasn't Miami a #1 when they lost in the first round to the Knicks in '99?
yes you are right
Beat me to it.
So I guess the answer would be No.
It's possible they could be second, though.
the only time a 1 seed has lost to an 8 in the first round best of 7 was the mavs
well, the thread le says "eastern conference" so why are the mavericks even being discussed??![]()
ya i know, just wondering if there will be league wide co-losers.
1994 Nuggets(8) vs Sonics(1) ????
That was best-of-five. Of course, the way the Sonics were imploding, they would have probably lost a Game Six in Denver.
first round back then was still best 5
The Hawks are playing well but no. They won't win Game 5.
This thread fails on many levels.
Boston has shown they have exploitable weaknesses. They will lose eventually...Round 1, 2, 3 or finals, doesn't matter.
