For as close as the teams are I thought this first round was going to be a good one...

The east has had the best games. West has been way too one sided.
The West has had some excited games. Don't know what you guys are talking about. The only Eastern game I really liked was the Hawks beating the Celtics for the second time.
Dallas and Denver inflated their records by beating up on the bottom of the Western Conference, which is worse than the bottom of the East:
Denver: 14-2 vs. MEM, MIN, SEA, & LAC; 36-30 vs. everyone else
Dallas: 14-1 vs. MEM, MIN, SEA, & LAC; 37-30 vs. everyone else
Could be there's more separation between the top of the West bracket and the bottom than the records indicate. IMO the top of the West is better than the top of the East, but the #7 and #8 seeds in the West are no better than the bottom half of the East bracket. They just looked better record-wise because they've been hammering the dog at the bottom of the conference. Could explain how lopsided the first-round results were.
