If Hornets win game 2 will it be over for the Spurs? I can see the hornets steal a homecourt win in San Antonio.

If Hornets win Game 2, it'll be pretty hard for your Spurs to win this series but it won't be impossible.

I have alot of respect for the Spurs and Popovich, but I personally think the Hornets will win this series.

Our San Antonio Spurs have NEVER won a series where they lost the first 2 games.

    Nuff said.

That being said, I seriously think SA will play a great game tonight and leave nothing on the floor. Hopefully, they will be rewarded with a win, and a split in New Orleans.

The Spurs are in the same position the Mavs were in. Spurs had a winnable game 1 (in the first half) that turned into a Hornets blowout in the 2nd half.

Hornets will have all the confidence in the world in game 2 and the Spurs will lose game 2.

The Spurs will come home and the crowd will propel them to a win in game 3.

Then comes the pivotal game of the entire series, Game 4. If the Spurs can win it then we have probably got a 7 game series. If the Spurs can't, the series is over in 5.

Chris Paul is a nightmare matchup and if you leave your man to help double him then Chandler or West will kill you. And there will be at least 1 or 2 games when that s.o.b. Pargo will come in for Paul and shoot lights out.

I think everyone (including myself) sort of "under-rated' the Hornets a little this year because they were so young and inexperienced. We were all wrong.

The fact of the matter is that Paul just does not make a lot of stupid plays and does not turn the ball over much. I think he is averaging less than 2 turnovers in his 6 playoff games. That is amazing for anyone.

    1998 WCSF
    1995 WCF
    1993 WCSF
    1992 1st round
    1990 WCSF
    1988 1st round
    1986 1st round
    1982 WCF
    1977 1st round

Then the chances of the Spurs winning the series would not be favorable.

Tim Duncan really needs to step it up this time. For first game for this series was the inverse of his first game against the Suns. I bet Pop has it all figured out; maybe he'll play Ime more tonight. Maybe Ime could take Paul, and Bowen could stick to Peja? It probably won't happen, since they're almost never on the floor together, when I watch the games anyways.

The Hornets should win Game 2. You're at home and have tons of confidence and younger legs.

Once the series comes to SA, it will be much more difficult for the Hornets. And if the Spurs win both at home as they should, it completely changes the momentum of the series. Pressure would swing all the way to the Hornets And in a battle of attrition, I'd take the Spurs every time.

The real question should be, What if the Spurs win Game 2?

TV said 83% of the teams that win game1 win the series.

    What's the %age for teams that win game1 & 2?

When Spurs win tonight, Game1 will be forgotten. Hornets go to SA having LOST HCA.

Honestly I'm not saying this because I'm a Hornets fan, but I think there's a very good chance we will win Game 2 tonight. But if that happens, I don't think that this series is over at all, mind you. The problem for us is when we go to San Antonio.

If the Hornets win game 2 they are just doing what they are supposed to do, defending there home court. I think it will be a tough game and I fully expect Duncan to go off I just hope the Hornets come out ready to play and put the Spurs in position of having to win 4 out of 5 games to move on.

If the Hornets win tonite, which is very possible, the series is not over by any means but the odds would be against the Spurs. The Hornets are capable of taking at least one of those two road games. That would set up game 5 as the closer(Captain obvious eh?) But this game could go so many ways tonite. Im not gonna talk im just going to wait and see.

The San Antonio Spurs during the Tim Duncan era never won a series in which they DID NOT have homecourt advantage except for 2005 WCF in which they won the first 2 games.
