Thought I would start a discussion. If Doc Rivers Gang Green can't win it all this year, he will be on the hot seat. Think about it. That team is old and has been exposed for all their flaws. Granted, they aren't out yet, but it seems their elimination time is coming sooner than most expected....

If Boston does win it all, yeah, Doc will be back. Maybe not if they lose. If they do lose, the team will be another year older and need some new pieces. Will the big 3 be split up? New role players? Or a new coach? So far, Carlisle and D'Antoni have new teams. Phoenix needs one. Avery is looking. Must be more coaches out there.

Please discuss, looking forward to a good read, thanks.

    AP game 4 recap

"When Garnett dropped his first jumper, former Celtics player and current broadcaster Cedric “Cornbread” Maxwell removed his headphones, rose out of his seat and screamed, “Get down in the box,” toward the floor below."

Sounds like Cornbread Maxwell is already auditioning for the job.

Rondo and Perkins are only 23 and they start. Big Baby, Powe, Pruitt, and Tony Allen are all young. If the kids continue to improve, and the Big Three don't start any mid-contract swandives, there's no reason that they can't maintain excellence as long as they can afford it.

That's nine guys under 32...fill in the rest of the roster with a clutch vet and some role players, then throw the draft picks overseas.

i honestly think that if Doc Rivers does not get this team to the finals. he will be on the hot seat. there is absolutely NO REASON why this team should not be sweeping the east right now. if you were to put Popovich as the head coach of that team theyd be sweeping with ease.

That would kind of be like a reverse Bill Sharman (who played for the Celtics & coached the Lakers).
