They have??? I know they have won big games 6 on the road somtimes facing elemination(New Jersey, Cavs, Spurs) but not game 7.
I have to say it's impressive that they won back to back Game 7s, but now they have to play the Pistons, who are probably the only playoff team in the East that can win a game in Boston without dropping any of their home games.
And if the ECF gets to a Game 7 I'm betting the farm on Detroit. They've won Game 7s on the road before and came very close to winning a championship in Game 7 against the Spurs.
Billups is about 500 times the PG that Rondo is and Prince has played great defense in the playoffs. Pierce and Rondo will have a tough series, and it's given that Garnett and Allen will choke.
Pistons in 6. In 5 if they steal Game 1.

Detroit beat Miami in game 7 in 2005 at Miami. I suspect they have before as well.
The Spurs series was under Larry Browns Pistons. All Flip Saunders has done is lost in the conference finals. The Game 7 on the road in which they won was also under Larry Browns Pistons. Two different teams.
Same players![]()
Pistons got this matchup. Garnett will fold, Pierce will do all he can, but it won't be enough. Pistons in 6
The Pistons are a funny team because they are capable of beating any of the other 15 playoff teams if they play at their highest level possible. They just have a bad habit of letting lesser teams back into a series. I wouldn't call the Celtics a lesser team. The Pistons also almost always play better when they are down in the series. Boston should be scared less if they end up taking a 2-0 lead in this series, but I would say Boston will likely lose Game 1 because of the short turnaround and because Detroit has been resting.
Also, the bigger the stage gets, the harder KG chokes.
That's ok, you got Doc Rivers on the other side, his arrogance kept Timmy out of a Magic Uni.
Please, no more of this:
Thing is, I don't think the Pistons can do it.
This is the time of the year, and the type of matchup where Tayshaun Prince turns into a queen.
