Besides the fact that he is a Socialist... Him being black will not allow him to be elected now. It is not my reason, but it is a reason he is destroyed in white areas byHillary. Many, many Demos won't even vote for the guy if he beats Hillary. How do you expect anyone else?
It's going to come down to McCain talking details. If he lets Obama give obscure speeches about hope and promise in America, he's toast. If he calls him onto the carpet and talks actually policy decisions and plans for when in office, he stands a chance.

Well, Obama may win. I'd actually say very likely! People like me will not vote for McCain unless he picks a very appealing VP and makes promises concerning ILLEGAL immigration and NO AMNESTY!
There is a nearly sure-fire way for McCain to win. If he were to pick Hillary as VP! He would take allot of democrats with him there. The downside to this, is he would have a strong battle against Bob Barr. I think most republicans would then vote libertarian!
Myself, I decided unless something changes, my vote is for Bob Barr. I'm sure many republicans will do the same and this will probably give Obama the win.

Yes, McCain will be better than Obama. However, with his idea of reaching across the isle, he will also do harm to America with a liberal congress. I would rather see the democrat party destroyed than the blame a republican president will have.
