He sure looked guilty there. Didn't see him celebrate at all. He knew he got bailed out.
He knew the stripes wouldn't ring him up.

I get sick of hearing about how **classy** Fisher allegedly is.
Assard of a player with his deadball flops, PMS grimacing at the refs for calls he has no business recieving etc. No respect for the game. And now this.
(1) Should have been Laker ball, as Fisher's shot hit the rim.
(2) Barry traveled
(3) Barry hooked Fisher
(4) As soon as Barry went right it became a non-call
We will win the PR war. Look at ESPN right now, no mention. People who missed the game will read this:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=280527024"That's not going to get called in the Western Conference finals," Barry said. "Maybe in the regular season. But that call shouldn't be called in the Western Conference finals."
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said: "If I was the official I wouldn't have called that a foul."
and conclude correctly that the Lakers won fair and square.
1. Ball hit backboard, not rim.
2. Yeah, after Fisher landed on him.
3. Put down the bong.
4. If it were Kobe, it would have been called. A foul's a foul.
And you're not winning the PR war, you must have missed this (I know, it had to be difficult, it was on ESPN's web site right next to the article you linked to):

OK, there, big ol' NBA, let's be honest: You were on notice. No funny business! We have had our referee scandal, we have been accused of fixing games, and we have promised that such things would never never never no not ever happen again.
You bounced back pretty nicely. But you promised transparency. You talked about a sacred trust.
And in that context, with everyone and their brother suspecting that the League would prefer to have the ratings monster Lakers in the Finals, and with a notorious anti-Spur referee assigned to the game, how can a key Western Conference final game end like this?
Laker Derek Fisher left his feet, and landed hard into Spur Brent Barry. The Spurs were down two and time was running out. That's a foul in my pickup game. That's a foul in high school. That's a foul in college. And, at just about every moment of NBA basketball that I have ever seen except this one, that's a foul in the NBA.
That just simply must be called a foul, if nothing else to allay the fears that the League may be fixing up the Finals for big ratings.
I actually do not think that the NBA is rigged (if it was the shot clock would have been reset on the play before, when Derek Fisher's shot appeared to touch the rim). But a lot of people do, and that's a problem. The way to solve that problem is to be scrupulously fair, which this was not.
And when mistakes are made, I think fans are owed a clear and honest explanation, complete with, when necessary, a swift admission that an error was made. Is that too much to ask?
And then, do me one last little favor: Look us in the eye, and tell us just one more time that the sport we love is not rigged.
(1) Should have been Laker ball, as Fisher's shot hit the rim. -has nothing to do with fisher's quote
(2) Barry traveled-amazing how every analyst but you missed that
(3) Barry hooked Fisher-in order for that to happen barry would have need to be in front of him while he was in the air.
(4) As soon as Barry went right it became a non-call-did he go right before or after he hooked him?
We will win the PR war. Look at ESPN right now, no mention. People who missed the game will read this: it's the lakers they'll win any PR war against anyone not in orange or green
Well there you have it coaches, put it in your playbooks. If a team has the final shot, jump into them so the shot is impossible to make.
Irrelevent. Suck a fat one:

Please stop with the "if it was Kobe, it would have been a foul", Kobe's been fouled worse than Fish bumped into Barry and it hasn't been called all series. Dial it back.
His hand is on top of the ball where was the ball going?
This is fun!!!!!!!!!!!
NO REPEAT!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT OVER TIL IT'S OVER!
VERY true. Best post of the thread. Thanks for correcting me.
+1Fisher... really... I hate the son of a .
the Spurs!!!!
Yeah there's so much to hate Derek Fisher for, what a terrible person.
On the court, yes. Although I don't hate, I would say intensely dislike.
Off the court, I hear he does a lot of good stuff for the community(kind of like Bowen...despised on the court but a great citizen off of it) and if I could help his little girl out I would. No parent deserves to go through that. That Utah fan who did that hand over the eye thing should be dragged out and shot.
I don't even know what's to dislike on the court, but whatever. What should he have called the foul on himself? Should he have not shot the ball with .4 left and just let the Spurs win? I don't get it, but whatever. You would love to have him on your team and if you wouldn't, you're a fool.
