Anyone here work from home part or full-time. The wife wants to earn some extra money and go back to work but I'm not loving the idea of other people looking after my son in a daycare. She's open to any work from home type jobs and really she's only wanting to make an extra 100-150 a week. Nothing I can find that allows you to work from home seems legit at all. Anyone know of anything that would work?

They pay $9 an hour, I think, and you can't have noisy dogs or kids in the background, so that may not work for her.
What about in-home daycare? I would never do it, but lots of women do. Too much liability for me!
We barely like our own kids let alone other peoples.

If she can get training as a transcriptionist, she could work from home. I believe SoniaTX mentioned she did that in the occupation thread.
I have a friend in Colorado who had a parttime job working for them and loved it.
I believe there is a substantial cost for schooling for that type of work. I did however bring that up as an option though.
Anyone know of a telecommuting service that offers jobs outside the US? I've found a few that say Global US... don't exactly know what that means but I'm not entirely sure its global at all. For the kind of pay Alpineaccess offers and the minimum amount of hours per week its a kick ass part time job here. In Argentina a 9 dollar/hour part time job goes a long way.

It's actually pretty inexpensive to do it through accd. I think St. Philips College is the one who offers most of the medical options. It just takes more time than money.
Well I live in Corpus not SA but its an interesting option. Problem being though, is that the idea is to make a little extra cash while not having to put my son under someones care, schooling would just make it even more difficult. What's the job description on that? It's kind of vauge, I checked the site, but it wasn't detailed enough. This is a part time thing that really interests me. Anybody know anything detailed about it? Is it like you have a section of the day where you wait to answer phone calls or something like that?

It's customer service and you have to be available at a certain time each day to answer calls via your computer. I think it may be catalog stuff. I will
e-mail my friend tomorrow and ask her for more details. I know her hours were right after the kids went to school and ended around lunchtime.
