he is getting the mle this year he sure is
Damn.. Any deal that involves Rose is not going to happen unless it is part of a superstar deal.
Pop loves Rose. Rose loves Pop. Geeze!
Didn't you all learn that when Rose tanked the first few months of last year and then he came back and played well leading the Spurs to a 11 and 1 record while David was out that he wasn't going anywhere.
Pop, David and Tim have annointed him as the new spiritual leader of the Spurs.
Rose is here for life.
Late.

I don't see SA trading Rose because of his restaurant.
That was a big financal step for Rose and he only did it when he finally had a home in San Antonio.
And HE'S THE ONLY INVESTOR!
He can't run that thing on the other side of the US.
like it has not happened before with a player that has a restuarant
this is a business not a charity league
other players had restuarnts in other city's
It's not the same.
The guy was his own investor, he is just about to open it, it's a big financal risk.
The Spurs know this.
The Spurs weren't going to trade him in the first place, and won't even if get Brand.
Malik is a big part of the Spurs, his hustle and his continued improvement are worth every penny we paid him.
Tim has one in Winston-Salem.
Tim isn't the "sole" investor.
Malik is the only investor in the restaurant. There's a difference.
so you would not sign brand because some person on your team opened a business up
well sorry rose has enough money he does not need the money from the business
he could sell the business anyhow to someone else in sa.
maybe all players should do what rose did so they would not get traded then using your logic
I appreciate your idealism but Malik being the sole investor in the restaurant will have NO bearing on whether the Spurs trade him or not.
the NBA is a business...
Malik knows it...
The Spurs know that Malik knows it...
the right deal comes along and Malik is gone...
Brand would be one of those "deals" if it was really possible...
When did I say I didn't want Brand? Quote me or don't make stuff up.
I said Malik is NOT GOING TO BE TRADED.
I said if we sign Brand that he's still not going to be traded.
So where did you get the whole "I don't want Brand because of a Phamous Philies" vibe?
You sure are concerned about Malik's restaurant...Buddy...Is that you? :shock
nope...Buddy works at McDonalds...
Yes, I am Buddy, Buddy is the only person in San Antonio that knows about Malik's restaurant... pardon me while I roll my eyes...![]()
Malik is NOT GOING TO BE TRADED.
The Spurs are not going to give him a huge pay day only to trade him.
They invested in him.
If the only thing holding up trading Rose is his restaurant, then he'd had better pack his bags. I doubt Malik gets traded, but if he doesn't it won't be because of his restaurant.
No Spurs' player but Duncan is untradeable. There have been trade discussions throughout this free agency period that have included Malik, Tony and/or Bruce.
Like it or not, that's reality.
I never said it was the "sole" reason.
I said that was one of the many reasons.
look I never quoted you I asked you a question
That's not a question.so you would not sign brand because some person on your team opened a business up
X, it won't even be one of the reasons. I'm sure Pop wishes Malik the best on his venture, but when it comes down to it, Malik's restaurant will probably add exactly $0 to the Spurs franchise (you know, that organization that employs guys like Popovich and Buford?). Besides, Malik can always hire someone to run his restaurant for him, and I'm sure he's already done so as an NBA player doesn't exactly have time during the season to run the day-to-day operations of a business.
No...I know about Malik's Philly Famous as well. But advocating that he won't be traded because he has a restaurant that has yet to be opened is just plain dumb. That is Buddy Hollyish of you.Yes, I am Buddy, Buddy is the only person in San Antonio that knows about Malik's restaurant... pardon me while I roll my eyes...![]()
Went to a SAISD hgh school I see.But advocating that he won't be traded because he has a restaurant that has yet to be opened is just plain dumb.
I wonder if Malik knows that his mom posts here?I don't see SA trading Rose because of his restaurant.
That was a big financal step for Rose and he only did it when he finally had a home in San Antonio.

geez!...another one of THOSE????The Spurs are not going to give him a huge pay day only to trade him.
Malik is not overpaid...look at what good 4/5's go for!
Malik may be a little undersized but he is not overpaid...Spurs gave him a chance, he did good, then the Spurs gave him a fair contract...others in the league ALSO realize that it is a fair contract...If the Spurs could somehow snag Brand Malik would definitely be on the table..
Well if you aren't Buddy, then you must be using his computer. Because your IP is an exact match the IP of the source of the email that Buddy sent me night before last.Yes, I am Buddy, Buddy is the only person in San Antonio that knows about Malik's restaurant... pardon me while I roll my eyes...
Confession?
I must've graduated after you.Went to a SAISD hgh school I see.
