No Spurs' player but Duncan is untradeable. There have been trade discussions throughout this free agency period that have included Malik, Tony and/or Bruce.

I'm sure Pop wishes Malik the best on his venture, but when it comes down to it, Malik's restaurant will probably add exactly $0 to the Spurs franchise (you know, that organization that employs guys like Popovich and Buford?). Besides, Malik can always hire someone to run his restaurant for him, and I'm sure he's already done so as an NBA player doesn't exactly have time during the season to run the day-to-day operations of a business.

Malik may be a little undersized but he is not overpaid...Spurs gave him a chance, he did good, then the Spurs gave him a fair contract...others in the league ALSO realize that it is a fair contract...If the Spurs could somehow snag Brand Malik would definitely be on the table..
