Oh yeah — 24! Fox has set a Nov. 23 air date for the two-hour movie that will bridge the gap between Days 6 and 7. Filmed partially on location in South Africa, the "prequel" finds Jack Bauer battling an international crisis (yea!), while back home, the United States prepares to inaugurate a new president.
"We're excited about the prequel because it explores Jack's complex emotional state of mind and still has all the signature excitement and suspense that fans have come to expect from 24," says executive producer Howard Gordon. "Shooting in South Africa affirms everyone’s commitment to making this season especially memorable for our fans."
The plan for Day 7, which was first detailed many months and one long strike ago, seems rather intact, with all of the new or returning cast members still on board. That includes (spoiler alert) Carlos Bernard (as Tony Almeida), Cherry Jones (President Allison Taylor), Colm Feore (First Gentleman Henry Taylor), John Billingsley (security specialist Michael Latham) and "FBI agents" Janeane Garofalo, Annie Wersching, Jeffrey Nordling and Rhys Coiro. Chloe and Bill are still around, too, though CTU isn't.

Damn this sounds good.
I read somewhere that there is talk about scrapping the whole Tony as the Ultimate Bad guy thing, but from the looks of this seems like thats still going foward. YEAH, Tony vs Jack will be awesome.
Sweet! This year just doesn't seem right without "24"
All will be alright if the Spurs win though!

Here's the unaired pilot for 24 that a lot people haven't seen.

Voight to play villain on Fox's '24' next season
Fri Jun 13, 7:27 PM ET
NEW YORK - Jon Voight has been cast as the villain on the upcoming season of the Fox drama "24." The seventh season kicks off in January, though Voight will make his first appearance during a two-hour "prequel" episode to air in November, Chris Alexander, a spokesman for the show, said Friday.
The 69-year-old actor's character will resurface in the second half of the regular season, Alexander said.
"I am thrilled and excited about being invited to be part of my favorite show `24,'" Voight said in a statement Friday. "I'm hoping to bring my very best to it."
The actor's previous TV experience includes the classic Western "Gunsmoke," in which he appeared in several episodes during the 1960s.
Voight, also known as the father of Angelina Jolie, won an Academy Award for best actor for the 1978 film "Coming Home," and has been nominated three other times for "Midnight Cowboy," "Runaway Train" and "Ali."
His big-screen credits include "Deliverance," "Mission: Impossible," "Transformers" and the "National Treasure" movies.
Voight in 24? This might just cancel out Janeane Garafolo
