Man... what a ty final... questionable trades... questionable calls... questionable schedule... After all, TV ratings ruled this season. I won’t be watching this final, of course, but it’s so sad the average American know about basketball and just buy whatever the media sells.
Is here someone else not interested what so ever in this finals as myself??

Personally, I have taken this time to discover that Buffy the Vampire Slayer was actually a pretty decent TV series, one you get over the fact that they always made Buffy a towering mound of Jell-O the first 1/3 of a season.

All I can say is, everyone could have predicted what the league wanted. That's what they got. When that happens, expect the conspiracy theories. Couple that with two of the shadiest trades in NBA history, and you will get some more conspiracy talk.

Despite the salary cap, the NBA has the LEAST parity of any major professional sporting league. Explain that one, Laker fans...

aww someone is still sore up their ass, they need to degrade what would be the most exciting finals in years, the spurs series was officiated fairly even more for the spurs, and now spurs fans are crying like sore losers, we don't have to look further back than last year the phoenix debacle to know what real controversy is tee hee hee.

This is the next great match-up I'd like to see.

Thank you Lakers for beating the Spurs & Thank You Celtics for beating the Pistons.

Don't get me wrong: I respect both the Pistons & Spurs, but Nobody wants to watch that again.

The ratings this year will be higher then last year but I highly doubt they will ever approach Jordan Bull era ratings for the finals. I would say the ratings will be around 10.1 to 12.1 range. It will be interesting how the NBA markets its product once ratings don't go super high like they think it will. People forget society is different then what it was 20 years ago when the original celtics-lakers rivalry was on. With the internet, videogames, people have more options for entertainment then what they had 20 years ago. I know that was a little off subject but I seriously hope the NBA will go the NFL route in marketing in the sense they market the league as whole and not just 3-4 teams. Its not going to be like this every year that you get 2 media darling teams from 2 historic places. What will stern do 5-6 years from now if their is a bizzare matchup like Blazers vs Raptors. I will laugh when that happens if anything this year has taught me one thing anything is possible in the current NBA.

This will be a great series for those that love basketball, takes this old guy back to the old days.

Spurs - Celtics would have been a very good series. Would have loved to see Pop coach the pants off Doc Rivers.

Everone calling this finals rigged needs to shut the up. Boston didn't have any help from the refs in any of their series. The Lakers got treatment vs. Utah in one game, but who cares, they beat us in 6. Outside of one play at an inopportune time, the San Antonio series was called exceptionally well and the Lakers won in five. Nothing indicates this finals was rigged besides idiots saying it is. All you stupid, bitter heads need to get over yourselves.

Boston is going to try to turn this into a grindfest, but LA won't have it. I'd predict they blowout Boston quite a few times on the way to their 5 game win. Not exactly the most exciting, but compared to what spurs/cavs or spurs/pistons would've been, I'll take it.

I'm a Pistons fan but I think this is a great match-up. Both teams are great. Both teams have marquee players. Nostalgic tradition in play. Legacies on the line. Contrasting styles.

Just because the Pistons aren't there, it doesn't mean I'm going to hate on the match-up.

    It's a great match-up. I'm excited to watch it.
