Whats the deal with Markota? Anyone know where this guy is or if he is progressing?
i think he got traded to the bucks
Dan Tarkanian in 1984? Seriously?![]()
Yeah, Tark's son. He was actually a very good player back in the day.
Hey thanks!! thats great info. where did u get this from, can i ask?
I remember watching spurs pick barbosa, and I was so ing happy and excited because I saw him play in Brazil and knew he was Tony Parker Like and said that is so ing great. Tony backup!!
Then minutes later he was traded to Suns and I was so pissed.
I remember yelling that we should of kept him back in 03 and everyone wwas like HE IS BENCH FODDER. He would never make it. BLAH taco bell.
to me, that was the worst spurs draft moment but i know now, it was never spurs pick to keep.
we kept barbosa, we would of never had the beno/nick van excel/j. vaughn etc. etc. ssituations.
but thats all the past, just remincing after seeing that draft post.
Click on the link I included at the top of the list.
Slowly, Solid D, he will learn.

[old school]In 1973, the Spurs #1 pick was, ahem, Mike D'Antoni.
Of course, in 1972, the Spurs/Chaparrals also drafted a center out of UCLA named Bill Walton. Other famous Chaparral draft picks: Stan Love (1971); Walt Szczerbiak (1971); Sidney Wicks (1971); Tiny Archibald (1970); Jo Jo White (1968); Pat Riley (1967).[/old school]
The ABA looked like a perfect fit for Bill! His white man fro could have challenged Dr. J's!

Answer: None of them are currently playing for the Spurs!![]()
One of dictionary.com's many definitions of "Draft" is:
"an act of drinking or inhaling"
[quote=Extra Stout;2621465]how does a GM not get canned for that performance? Thank goodness Pop can recruit old guys.
Probably because two of his picks from before then helped win 3 championships during that time.
Saying that drafting Scola is an "epic fail" is plain wrong.
Scola was a very good pick and Spurs get way more value for him than you get for a 57th pick.
