the difference between being impeached and not removed from office, and not being impeached, is the word "impeached". Without removal, dems have lost. Trump likely gains in the polls and the election in 2020 is going to be even harder to win for dems.

"dems" might lose (the president committing impeachable offenses is not a question of whether you are D or R), but those in the house must act on their cons utional obligations regardless of whether they believe the senate will do the same.
