Obviously if the 500 is blown on new dildos for politicians then nothing has been accomplished. Or maybe it has. Like in basketball terms sometimes its addition by subtraction.

If you guys don't think the US has had a leadership position in the worst the past century, then everything is fine and letting China do whatever it wants is a good thing to you. Our power and influence around the world could be substantially reduced.

In part. If we choose to have no voice or influence in that organization at all, is that somehow better?
I already answered. It's part of a pattern of general withdrawal from international ins utions and agreements. US influence is on the decline. China's is rising. Trump is speeding up the process for both. But if it makes you feel better about the current crisis that's all that really matters.
How is it better?
China misled the world, all agencies, their own people, themselves maybe. People who spoke up there conveniently disappeared or died, maybe their organs were harvested for having the wrong opinion who knows? But you turn on the TV and you would think it was Trump himself in that Wuhan Lab concocting a way to release this virus. China still misleading everyone and we all know it, as far as I'm concerned all reports and numbers coming out of that country should be used for nephew's handler to wipe his ass.
The only reason the world is holding back on them for now is because everyone sold their souls for that cheap slave labor over there to the point where the US isn't even manufacturing drugs we'd need and they've already threatened to not send us stuff if we bad mouth them. It's so pathetic to have to rely on them for anything imo, and it should have never gotten to this point. There is a super easy villain in this story, and it's the CPC, not the President, not the governors, or leaders of other countries and it's a cop out and it takes all the heat off who really caused this situation (and who was responsible for Sars outbreaks from labs as well and really who the else knows what).
