Chemistry and team unity matters in the grand scheme of things.
JR would be another interesting signing tbh. Not quite the perimeter defender AB is, but a much much better athletic wing. I'd rather see Waiters (who is in good shape) start though.
LkrFan - Does this year's champ deserve an asterisk and explain your answer son.
So not much confidence from you.
Also explain your answer son
Watch all the Jordan nut huggers come out of the woodwork to defend their man when Lebron lifts that trophy at the end of October.
Skip: Michael Jordan is the greatest. He never would’ve gotten Corona to begin with. He would’ve found a way to not get the season interrupted and just willed his teammates healthy during this pandemic. I don’t know. H just would’ve Found (slam on table) A (slam on table) Way (slam on table).
Stephen A: First of all let me just preface this by saying that I believe Lebron James is an all time talent. He’s an all time player. And he had an all time season. BUT. BUT. By no means, by no stretch of the imagination, no inclination is this season, THIS SEASON, a reason why the debate of Lebron Vs Michael Jordan should be reopened. Micheal never had his season interrupted. Micheal never had other teams players dropping out bc of a serious virus or illness or something of that nature. In fact, every star that Michael Jordan ever faced was 100% healthy and 100% in their prime. So if you’re asking me if this 4th ring opens up the door to Lebron claiming the GOAT status from Michael Jordan, my answer is resolutely no.
It's an asterisk, because it wasn't an 82 game season. But unlike in 1999, it is from something beyond their control (the Rona). But an asterisk nonetheless.
99 was in their control?
Yes. Lockout 50-game season happened because millionaire players and billionaire owners couldn't agree on a new CBA. That is very different from suspending part of this season due to COVID-19.
This season and 99 season are hardly comparable. Even before the suspended season most teams played over 60 games which is more than 99 season already.
Both championships get an asterisk, but 99's is bigger due to less games.
It sounds pretty uncontrollable to me for 99. Who had control then? The billionaires or the millionaires?
