Beat lakers 11 straight
By far.
Spurs had a fabulous 20 year run that ended with Zaza and then ownerships failure to deal with Grandpa.
Would loved to see the Raptor with Kwa Leonard staying for the back to back attempt.
Toronto is a huge city so agree not sure small market.
Lol the Raptors market is the entire country of Canada...
Toronto itself has 4.5m people. Not huge like NY or LA but I wouldn’t call small market.
What I was about to say. An entire country worth of fanbase isn't a small market.
Toronto is actually the third biggest city-market in the NBA, behind only NY and LA, but above Chicago. And it is developing like crazy.
It is cold and players have to actually live in another country, going through border controls and using another currency, but it's still difficult to call it a "small-market". Other than NY and LA, I am not sure which other cities have natural advantages that make them much more attractable. Maybe Miami, SF, and Houston? A combination of good weather and cool places to live.
I am surprised D.C. doesn't have enough pull, but I guess players are not thinking much of politics and outreach after their careers. If they were, that's the place to go.
Agree. Toronto doesn't qualify as small market. Fabbs got fooled by the NBA narrative from last season's run.
Not sure what the best small market team is if two-thirds have a case for not being that small.
The rest just suck most of the time.
