He probably wasn't going to play against the Suns but...
holy are you people really doing math everyone did two weeks ago? we knew the Spurs played less games than everyone when the bubble started lmfao tbh
He probably wasn't going to play against the Suns but...
Antetokuonmpo just got ejected in the 2nd quarter
maybe Budenholzer ends up playing him against Memphis now
Spurs must beat Utah, Suns need to lose to the Mavs and Memphis needs to lose to the Bucks.
agreed, Blazers with hot-hand Lillard are the best of the worst. Spurs goin fishin
that Mavs guy who fouled on the Mavs game winning 3G probably feels pretty ty
This play supports my frustration so much-- player went away from defending like __| to __ __ and that is when Lillard shoots... Defending like this __| or |__ doesn't affect your lateral movement...
how many games will the greek be suspended for, just one?
Watch pop start Forbes next season
I think it's time for ownership to really think about forcing poop into retirement. the fact that we're even in this mess is all on him
Ownership is inexperienced(Holt kids) and handed over all those duties to Buford who's currently CEO of the Spurs. Buford is Pop's BFF so they both probably have more power than any other coach/GM in the NBA. They're untouchable.
But didn't the spurs already get plenty of gifts with Utah sitting everyone and Harden not playing today?
This is the real reason the spurs are clawing for an 8 seed.
Lillard has become awesome. I won't even be mad. I'd be mad about Phoenix though lol
Memphis and Phoenix play the last game @ 3pm Thursday. If they both win, we’ll pretty much know by the Spurs game time at 5:30 that we didn’t make the play in game. If they do lose, Spurs are in with a win. They’ll be 8th if Portland loses and 9th if Portland wins.
The fact that we still have a chance to make it on the last day the spurs play their last game is better than nothing considering our position going into the restart
We're 8th in the loss column. To rank lower than teams with more losses is just stupid.
If someone is gonna make the playoffs over us, give me the Suns. That way we would advance one position on the loterry odds.
The 8th/9th play-in may end up being the teams that had 1 or fewer loses in the first 4 games.
Meant to post this earlier, hasn't seemed to affect the team overall.
CJ McCollum suffered a L3 vertebral transverse process fracture (non-displaced) last Thursday, sources told NBC Sports Northwest.
McCollum, who shot 2-14 from the field on Tuesday against the Mavs, has played three games with the injury.
McCollum hit two free throws late in the Blazers' win against the Mavs.
"One thing that is a part of our relationship and something that makes us have so much belief in each other is -- he knows that I have unwavering confidence [in him] and I know the same thing about him. I know his heart. I know his toughness. I know who he is as a man," said Damian Lillard about McCollum after the game.

Another 76ers / @spurs #NBARestart factor: out of Spurs/Blazers/Suns (teams fighting for 8th/9th spot) Spurs were only team to play healthy 76ers.
Sun, Aug 9 @ Portland L124-121 42-28 Richardson 34 Thybulle 9 Richardson 6 Tue, Aug 11 vs Phoenix L130-117 42-29 Burks 23 O'Quinn 10 O'Quinn 11
**Grizz didn't play 76ers
Also out of Spurs/Blazers/Suns - Spurs only team to not win at least 1 game of their B2B...
My theory that Pop has held the team/players back might hold true. Had Pop played his bubble lineups all season we'd easily be in the playoffs right now. It's pathetic and unacceptable. He needs to retire, soon.
This is wrong - we won the first game of our back to back, against the Grizz, then lost the 2nd (and 3ed game in 4 days) against PHI.
Spurs get in with:
8 seed:
A win, combined with a Memphis loss, a Phoenix loss and a Portland loss
9 seed
A win, plus a combined two losses from Phoenix, Portland or Memphis
