11th pick, DeMar for James Harden
Houston is heading towards a longterm rebuild...
11th pick, DeMar for James Harden
Do it RC!
I'd give up our future for James Harden. You trade for an MVP 10 times out of 10. He has many more years of mvp production.
I agree...it'll take more than ddr and 11... probably a future 1st and one of our young players.....and I'd still do it...
after nearly a decade of watching Harden choke in the playoffs y'all wanna sell the farm for him? I'd rather just keep DeRozan tbh.
Absolutely. He never had a proper coach.
because he kills his coaches
One other thing about Harden... DJM would fit pretty nicely next to him since Harden is the primary ball handler. I've been wanting to move DJM but he could fit here depending on what assets the rockets would want.
He's one of the main reasons why the sport has deteriorated. Pop just wouldn't go for him.
Maybe that means they have someone in their sights that they think is worth trading up for. I hope so.
The guy refuses to move without the ball, has butted heads with multiple players/coaches and is accustomed to a system/styles of play that bends to his will, never sacrificing for the good of the team.
‘There are very few NBA players that have had entire offensive systems built around their considerable talents. Harden is one of those select few, which speaks volumes for his overall skill.
Still, wouldn’t touch with a 10 ft pole...
That pairing didn't last long.
it lasted as long as Harden and CP3. Harden will never realize that he plays a losing brand of basketball
with that being said I hope we move up in the draft and get an All-Star caliber player via trade. That would be ideal. The 11th pick and Aldridge, DeRozan (if he opts in) and Gay being on expirings definitely puts us in a good position to make some moves. I just hope RC and Brian Wright don't it up like they used to do the past 3 years
Dunno if that dude has any credibility, but Paul wanting to go to LAC really isn't the thing holding that up.
The goal is to "stay classy" instead of improving the team tbh![]()
saying that PATFO know what they are doing is an old myth tbh. Literally 80% of this forum knew the team would fall off after the 2017 offseason and they even managed to it up faster than all of us expected. They have been one of the worst FOs in the NBA for the past 3 years. I wouldn't be surprised if they are trying to trade White and Walker.
Kawhi wanting Paul because Kawhi can't provide ANY leadership![]()
What does lac have left to give okc lol??? Presti just pummeling LAC
I wonder if he told Paul to fake an injury, refuse to be seen by Thunder medical team, move to NY and demand to be paid for not playing and demand to get traded to only LA. That’s his playbook.
If they really want to get better now, it's a two-year plan. This draft doesn't have any obvious All-Star caliber players. Someone may emerge, but it's a dart throw. BUT... this draft does have a pretty good number of players who could be solid rotation guys, and some second- or third-option types. I would love to see them get an extra first, and maybe swap their second for something closer to 31. They could put together a pretty good supporting cast, with a whole bunch of them being on cheap deals. And that would get them out of cap .
Then put all the young guys on the floor this season. Give them a LOT of minutes and let them develop, and learn to play with each other. That should get them a high lottery pick in next year's draft, when they have a chance to add that franchise player of the future from the draft.
I wouldn't throw resources at moving up in this draft. And I sure as wouldn't keep kicking the can down the road with guys who aren't going to win a ship, and would be over the hill when the young guys finally come into their primes. Getting out of cap is vital, and it's important to have a group that are on cheap scale contracts at the same time, so that the team can afford to ad some veterans. Then when it's time for the young guys to get paid, you're holding Bird rights to them.
That whole rebuild in-place shtick only worked because they had the Big 3 locked down.
I'm with you on that. I would keep White, Lonnie, Keldon, Luka and Quindary. I'm cool with trading everybody else. 11th pick should only be included if you can move up and ideally you keep it. The good thing is there are plenty of talented guys available. I'd love to see a DeRozan trade to Brooklyn. They got Levert, Harris, Allen and Dinwiddie, all who I'd love to have on the team. Pacers are shopping Myles Turner. Clippers might want to get rid of PG13. If you move Aldridge Horford is definitely an option to look at. Jrue Holiday is available as well. Spurs can also package Poeltl in a S&T. There are some teams who need a Center and don't have cap space. Plenty of options and if they are really aggressive and make more than just 1 trade, this team might be fun to watch again.
I hope the Spurs have better political awareness this time around and don't get caught off-guard if Lonnie starts acting like a diva because of his new collaboration with Klutch.
