I do agree though that if the Dubs wanna go for it this year then LMA/DDR make a lot of sense for them.

The ACL isn't confirmed by anyone major yet but i have seen a couple tweets about it
ACL tear is what he was recovering from though. Seems like speculation until I hear it from someone who actually has a reputation to protect.

Holy mother ing . Seriously, Klay gets injured the very day of the draft?! You have got to be kidding me. Hope it's not an ACL... Or rather, hope the diagnosis on the injury isn't clear until tomorrow.

Besides the tragic injury - I can picture Warriors executives pushing a wheelchair-bound, grimacing Klay at full speed to the nearest MRI machine to get that diagnosis before the draft

Y'all are overreacting. The Warriors owe Steph and Draymond a compe ive season. They're going to fight. I say it's still possible.
without Klay? no way, lottery team for sure

Move off that Klay and Wiggins money by trading them to the Spurs and go all in on Giannis next year

Klay might never be the same player again if its the same leg tbh, and even then Curry will be 34 before the 2022 playoffs.
No one wants that contract. Green would still be a good role-player for a team that can match his salary. Like I'd seriously consider him if I were SA and I could get him for Gay and Lyles. He'd make them better on both ends of the court. I can imagine GS being able to get actual value if enough teams thought like I just did.

I think GS will consider moving Wiggins even more valuable now. Like Aldridge and White for Wiggins and 2 might get it done at this point.

It's the other leg for Klay, not the one he injured before

If Klay is out for the season, then Demar is the right guy for them.

Woj says other leg. Clarified "lower leg" so maybe it's not as bad? man all our hopes resting on the severity of a fluke injury

I mean how do you trade #2 if your future is uncertain now?

Because they have two other stars they care about.

That's my concern. The whole team is centered around Steph and Klay....if Klay is out, Warriors aren't in "win-now" mode anymore.

Like it was ever happening to begin with. Even if there was a conceivable path to it, why would you trust such a passive, rigid, unimaginative front office to pull it off?

The Warriors were probably going to slow play it anyway (wait out Beal or someone unforeseen), this just increases the odds.

When I got a second meniscus tear on my other knee, my orthopedist said "God loves symmetry."

So, best case scenario for Spurs that is at least somewhat likely?

I guess mine would be other teams move off Okongwu due to his toe injury and the fact that centers aren't as valuable as they used to be and Spurs get him at 11, which allows them to be more confident about trading L.A. and play hardball with Poeltl.
