What specific RAM. Don't go cheap on RAM if you're going high-end on everything else.
I paid $300 for an overclock, an extra fan and a stupid game

Now just gotta pay another $400+ for a decent 4k IPS panel with FreeSync or GSync now that Nvidia gpus support FreeSync. Though if you go FreeSync you'll need a monitor that does it over DisplayPort, as Nvidia gpus won't do it over HDMI.
I think I have a decent monitor it has the displayport. Gotta get a cable tho

Mother er! This was $115 just yesterday!
I wouldn't buy DDR4-3200. I'd go at least DDR4-3600, but the higher the better as long as the price doesn't go way up. Last time I checked there was almost no difference in price between DDR4-3600 and low end RAM.
That system would be a waste on anything other than a 4k monitor. But you'd want FreeSync or GSync because even a 3070 isn't going to hold a constant 60 fps at 4k.
Thanks
Nice. My LG has both 4k and freesync
So if I plug this onto my samsung 55 incher it will look like ?
Also looks like USB C also does the trick? I have cable for that
Can only do FreeSync over DisplayPort.
No.
Just checked LG site. It does support freesync via HDMI
Nvidia gpus will only support it over DisplayPort.
The LG won't do FreeSync over DisplayPort? Sucks, I was thinking of buying an LG 4k 32" FreeSync monitor but couldn't find whether it did FreeSync over DP or HDMI. I'll probably just email their tech support before buying if I do. I'm only running a 1660 Super and that can't quite keep a locked 60 fps in RDR2 at 1080p so I definitely want something with FreeSync down to 40 Hz over DP. And might as well buy 4k to make the best use of my next gpu in a couple of years, especially since 1080p to 4k is an integer scale so scales perfectly on a 4k monitor.
It will. Just that I need to buy yet another cable
So I got this built. I almost break the GPU I had to manually straighten one of the pins but works
Whats the easiest way to benchmark this ???
I tried a few games and only GTAV look ing outstanding. Witcher 3 for example is meh at max settings.
Street Fighter V runs smooth at max settings which is good as I couldnt evem run it at min settings on my old box
Post your Firestrike score
https://benchmarks.ul.com/3dmark
Cant download that demo frok steam. s broken
Oh well
anfall at 60fps on all max settings
I guess this is an upgrade over my 970
Here is the non-Steam download for it:

Post your Firestrike scores and that'll tell you if everything is working properly. Honestly, with any gpu you should probably run Unigine Heaven and Unigine Valley for a couple of hours straight to stress test and ensure your card can handle it.
Firestrike will give you a link to a summary page showing graphics scores, physics score, and so on that'll tell you if everything is working properly. If you have an old driver installation hanging out your scores will be and you won't be getting full usage. You were on a GTX 970 before right? RTX 3070 should feel like a night and day difference.
Yeah. Its time
I played RDR 1 on PS3 and ing loved it.
Thanks downloading. Slowly
Set all the sensitivity and acceleration settings to max ASAP if you're using a controller. The default controls are terrible but feel pretty decent after maxing all those settings. Haven't played with mouse and keyboard so don't know what settings need to be changed there. But by default on controller Arthur Morgan moves like a 300 pound Spursfan.
Also when you play RDR2, you're not going to get a locked 4k60 on ultra even with a 3070, as the game was built to scale with future generations of gpu. With these settings I can get 55-80 fps at 1080p on my GTX 1660 Super, so you should probably be able to get similar at 4k since a 3070 is about 2.4x the gpu a 1660 Super is.
Also make sure you have FreeSync turned on on your monitor and GSync turned on for your gpu (I think the GSync setting is probably in the Nvidia Control Panel) so you can make use of FreeSync to smooth out your drops under 60 fps.
