Or was it Blair? Unsure. I think Jefferson stayed in the starting lineup.
Kawhi was a rotation player from the get go as a 15th pick on a much better team. I don't see any reason why Vassell shouldn't see minutes from day 1, tbh.
Nah bud, it was 15 games in. But I agree, he should get minutes. He should take it from Patty hopefully.
Well, Vassell should wait 11 games then.
I say start the guy. He's a high draft pick that many had pegged lower than 10. Assuming he can play, why not start him... very much like KL did. Only way this works if we go super small ball with LA as the starting center. Murray, White, DD, Devin and LA. Really it should be Jakob instead of LA.
Man i think we are going to be very tough to beat next year. I think we need to find a way to not let Vassell get lost in the Rookie Abyss. But as usual it's up to Pop.
Man if Murray and DDR could shoot a 3 with a decent percentage.
Murray does shoot them at a decent percentage.
Nah not really. But he is doing better- need more since he is ineffective controlling the ball/handling the point
He is above league avg.
He should phrase it as an above average clip of making threes. Dude averaged .6 made threes a game. It wasn’t a part of his game last year
Got give you the nod on the low volume stats. I would say who would you not want to take a 3 rather than Murray? Jakob for sure; DDR. Who else not counting Cam and that other hyphen name dude. Weatherspoon-nah I’d take Q.
Murray ain’t no point guard- he needs to take and make 3s and lots of them along with that crossover 15 foot or so jump shot.
Get some gravity on offense he needs.
And finish better on the drive-Lonnie too
I mean Murray looks like a praying mantis getting his three off.
Need more from him.
I can't speak for Murray, but I think Lonnie will surprise us this season. He's gotten some noticeable mass and was expanding his game, even in the bubble. Now, with some more time off to work on his game, I can see him getting even better, alongside Keldon. It's actually so sad that the Spurs committed early to Dejounte, because it's not his fault at all, but the Spurs have many other prospects with more upside who could really use the starting 2 spot (assuming White is the de-facto PG)...
My belief is that Pop saw “leadership stuff” with Murray early on and wanted him to be a leader and prioritized him. His game hasn’t reached the expectations of most, but he is still improving, albeit not fast enough for most.
Because Pop wouldn't play the arguably better and objectively more exciting players last year.
If Lonnie doesn't play through contact better than last year we should trade him.
Check your facts, bud..

He started in his 11th game but play an avg of 20 minutes even as a sub.
Thanks for checking that, man. I stand corrected!
Pop has a really low tolerance for rookies who make dumb fouls. What separated Kawhi from all rookies ever was his ability to play good on-ball defense without fouling. His on-ball and off-ball defense was top notch. Whether that was a factor in gaining those minutes, we don't know (could also be we had nobody behind RJ). Devin's effectiveness on on-ball defense remains to be seen. I have no doubt he is already a better fit in any line-up than our current guards who have been with the team for two years. So him having to be better than the person ahead of him is already a checkmark. I hope he can get those minutes.
mid season, once DDR is traded, we'll see him coming of the bench, while KJ starts.
Devin Brown retired ages ago.
