Literally the only players I want to watch on this team. Now watch Pop give Demar, Murray, and Gay a ton of minutes while Vassell, Keldon , and White are relegated to the bench.
    Yup my thoughts too

Murray is the bigger problem considering we just paid that pos based on nothing but hype and "unrealized potential". If Lonnie sucks, so what? We don't extend him and move on to the next prospect. Murray will hold us back for the next four years and be a locker room problem anytime we demote him to the bench(where he belongs).
Should’ve traded him last year or in the offseason before his value goes down when people realize he’s not that good

Same all ST over reacting on a pre-season game. I was watching Vassell and he belongs. The Vassell and Keldon should be fan to watch.

How bad is Dejounte Murray? 2-11, 4 assts, 3 turnovers... If only we can put White's brains in Dejounte's body, but no... the guy needs A LOT of work.
He's so bad that it's his 4th NBA year - although he was hurt for a whole season - and a rookie in Maledon scored 20 on him

Tre has way better handles. Cory was way too mechanical with his dribbling
But CoJo was more athletic. That dunk on Ibaka will never be forgotten.

I feel like Murray would do better in a less structured offense with fewer demands. Let's find him one.

    The Bubble Has Burst.

I know it’s early and so unfair because our two best players, White and Keldon, weren’t playing. But the magic of Orlando, so to speak, seems gone. I tried to accept not moving out any of the veterans, but after the trigger of this game, I still say their presence really holds the team back. Complete iden y crisis. Yes, LMA jacked 3s, but it seemed passive aggressive to me. Or maybe he’s just usually that way. Which gets to a larger point, psychologically, we have some real emotional black holes on this team: DD, LA, Luka, DJ at times. Hard to fully describe but just anti-Manu is the best way I can say it.

LA slows down the pace by a lot regardless of his change of play style. His inability to roll kills the momentum and his rim protection looks like it regressed. You can't play the bubble style with LA it just looks bad.
Hard disagree. He rarely held the ball for more than a beat if he wasn't shooting it. As for the defense, there were some rotations that were off but I don't know for sure they were his. Pop counts on him to be their defensive anchor so I'd guess the problem was elsewhere or multi-factoral.

And wait until he's playing alongside guys like Vassell, White, and KJ that aren't all . As it was he's had absolute road kill from the 1-3 spots for the better part of 2+ years. He's rarely been able to play his man straight up because he always had to play help defense.

Tre court vision is better. Also, think he is better than Dejounte. Dejounte looked bad, I hope it was just a bad game.

So from what i'm reading Murray's first sighting after the off season wasn't good. We're ed. I dont care about his shooting but all i want to know about his feel for the game, has he improved there?
I did not see improvement. His court vision as a pg sucks!

It was a really bad game from him but he did move around well and looks to have all his athleticism back. He needs to make better decisions with the ball and finish at the rim to make a real impact. His 3 ball worries me but it's way too early to declare him finished in that area.

Sports IS armchair psychology. What else separates the great players but their psychological mindset? Defend LA, DD, and Luka’s consistently bad at ude/mindset we’ve seen from them for a longtime. It isn’t easy.

Lonnie shouldint ever start or even play...If he keeps up with how bad he was...Vassell should start for sure....unless keldon johnson is starting at sf

Rudy plays hard, shows leadership, is aggressive and has balls. Very few players on this team can say the same.

I agree! His defense is solid. However, he still got a lot to learn to become a caliber PG.
