There is nothing embarrassing when you're playing thinking that you have talented yound players when in reality you're fooling yourself into believing they are talented. We need more of the same, TANK.
What? We have talented young players. The only question is about their ceilings, where so far, none of them project to be anything above an All-Star selection. I do agree we could use an influx of lottery talent, but bringing down the young players on the team isn't the way to go about it, imo.

    "Defensive Coach"
At this point, the most infuriating basketball take for me is when people talk about how lucky Timmy was to have Pop.
Literally one of the worst coaches in the league over the past few years.

Is the Spurs’ perimeter defense really bad or does it just feel that way? Every game some scrub is having a career shooting night it feels like.
    It's unquestionably bad lol.

They currently try to double every marginally capable dribbler, which leaves other guys wide open.

They will literally double ANY dribbler.

Like, just guard your guy alone for 's sake. I ing hate it.

He'll be an above average player on another team in a few years when he doesn't have loser ass Demar in front of him and a coach that's never known how to use his him tbh. He deserves a lot of blame but the coaching staff has never done him any favors since he was drafted IMO.

Giving up Open 3s while taking contested 2s. If you don't like that, you don't like Pop Basketball for the last 3 years

Said after the first Grizzlies game that the Spurs just need to avoid another losing streak. And once again, they do it. I keep waiting for this team to prove me wrong, just once.

One of the league’s worst teams on pace to only score 130 on us. I’d call that a defensive win!

Somehow Pop has managed a more unwatchable style of basketball than the joke product the league is resorted to nowadays.

I'm just curious about how Flopovich will change the starting line up on this 8 game losing streak to hide his dumbass coaching

Another terrible effort so far and this is why the team needs more lottery picks. And we'll need to find a #1 & #2 scoring option cause those guys aren't currently on the roster (once DeRozan and possibly Patty are gone).

The guy has had plenty of minutes and does nothing with them.

He turns down good shots, takes bad shots, and otherwise seems content to just stay in the background most of the time.

He's also a traffic cone on defense.

Sorry, but the occasional flashy dunk or a couple three's a game hasn't sold me on this kid yet. You can't blame Pop for all of the team's problems. The players have to play.

The Wolves defense has to be pretty ty to let Eubanks score 5 points unless they let him out of pity.

I can’t understand how people can blame the poor defense on Pop. These guys don’t talk at all on the floor. So many miscommunications on if they should switch on picks or show. So much over helping and leaving shooters open, off ball defense is trash due to players ball watching, and no boxing out when shots go up which leads to easier offensive rebounds.

none of that is coaching strategy. Maybe you could blame Pop for playing bad defensive players too much but even the good defenders do this stuff every game.

This is maddening to watch by a Spurs team the last few seasons.

All fair criticisms but he'll be a really good player somewhere else with a different coach. I'm pretty confident in that tbh.

I know you're a troll and hate Pop, but where is the blame for DeRozan? He's the one constantly dribbling into traffic/resistance and pulling up for mid or long - range 2's.

The spacing was terrible at times, guys continue to meet resistance & pass back out again leading to an eventual contested mid range shot.

DeMar also passed up multiple open three - pointers for contested shots, but sure it's all Pop's fault.......

    Disappointing performance.

    Oxymoron -
We look like the oldest young team in the league.
