Crazy stat...especially if the Mavs still win the le...
damn the jazz are in there vs the bulls 3 times.
The only word for it is pathetic.
So: Is this a matter of Mavs sucking, or is Heat defense better than Spurs?
I'll give some credit to the Heat defense but Dirk (and, last night, the rest of the Mavs save for Terry) was missing wide open 12-15 footers- badly missing them. When you are wide open, the defense has nothing to do with it.
Dirk is in a horrible shooting slump and has been for the last five games.
Horrible shooting night...missed tons of open shots...
And, remarkably, only one of those entries is from Utah's infamous 54 point effort in Game 3 of the 1998 Finals.
There are other players on that team besides Dirk. Josh Howard had three points. Taht sucked big time.
I'm giving the credit to the Heat's defense. They forced Dallas back to it's old self.
So.......Dirk has set a new record for the number of free throws attempted in a single postseason? Interesting stat.
Shows how much his overall game has improved.
just give credit to the heat D!!!!!!!(something nobody seems to do...)
No D can hold a team to 7 points 15 maybe, but while their D may have been better than usual. It's not just the D that caused it.
Combination thing IMO. The Mav's shots totally sucked ass because of the Heat defense, but even the wide open shots they got wouldn't fall. They stunk it up big time.
I'm kind of hoping this stat never gets broken because 6 points or less by a team would probably make for a very boring quarter.
Yawn. I remember how the Pistons held the Spurs to 14 points in the 4th quarter of Game 4 last season - the best quarter of a 102-71 blowout where Lindsey Hunter led the Pistons in double figures.
That had a huge effect on the Pistons and Spurs.
Exactly my point.
That lindsay hinter thing was the biggest bull in NBA history, old er couldn't miss,
