basketball season is over for me

Welp, for the first time in the Spurs history, they have missed the playoffs for a second straight year. Last year we had the silver lining of a short turnaround after the bubble....but it's gonna be a long offseason.
In the meantime, the playoff brackets are set and games kick off today.
Who are you rooting for?
Who are you rooting against, and why is it the Clippers and Lakers?
Out of the West, Denver would be my dark-horse pick if Murray was healthy...but he's not. Suns, Mavs, and Jazz are all good stories, but you lose your Spurs card if you root for them. Memphis fought their way into the playoffs, but they are a tier below the other teams.
In the East, I'd like to see the Bucks go all the way. Giannis seems like a good guy and it would be a slight coup for small market teams being able to keep their superstar. Knicks would be a great story too, even though it will make New York fans insufferable to deal with. Sixers have to prove that their style of play can work in the playoffs, and Heat could surprise some people but I think they were a flash in the pan last year.
Honestly, I'd be fine with anybody but the Lakers/Clippers and Nets in the Finals...unfortunately, that seems to be the most likely outcome. If it comes down to it...let LeBron have another ring. Doesn't change much. I just don't want to see Kawhi or Harden win.

I'll get my NBA fix while I can. Otherwise, there is nothing but baseball (ugh) or golf (good if I want to take a nap) until football season starts.
I guess I could actually spend more time doing productive things....but what's the fun in that?
I'm rooting for the Bucks as well. I like Giannis and Jrue Holiday, and a small market team winning would be good for basketball. I don't think LeBron's 100%, so the Lakers will have a tough time winning three series without home court. Rooting against flat earther Kyrie and uber talented lackadaisical Harden. I think mostly I'll be rooting for good showings from individual players I find interesting: Daniel Gafford, De'Andre Hunter, Jokic, etc., and looking to see who emerges as a surprise playoff stand out-- Reggie Bullock, Facundo Campazzo, Mikal Bridges?
Pulling for Dallas out west(naturally)
Pulling for anybody out east besides BKN.
How I think it actually ends - LAC over BKN in 7.
Spurs. DDR finna show out!!!
Gimme that Phoenix vs Philly match up or Utah vs Milwaukee please
Rooting for the Jazz in the West.
They built a legit playoff roster from next to nothing.
Hayward walked, they got Mitc and especially Gobert with relatively low picks. Developed O'Neale.
Ingles was a scrub noone wanted, same goes for Clarkson who went from inefficent chucker to 6moty chucker.
Unlocked Bojan's full potential and revitalized Conley.
Hopefully Bucks make it out of East.
those 3 in Brooklyn, Doc and Morey, noone else has a chance.
I am rooting for the Grizzlies. I genuinely like them but there’s a few others I also like, Denver and Mavs. If I am honest, i only truly dislike the Clippers (duh obviously)...
I dont care much for any of the East teams but J. Tatum is my favorite East conference player.
I posted this in another thread.
“[Lebron] Won’t be suspended for protocols violation" against the Suns who know too well about the letter of the law. Silver is a ing joke.
While I'd prefer a Bucks or Jazz (or Nuggets, who'd have been a threat with Murray healthy) over a Nets or Lakers, the only team I'm actively rooting for/against is the Clippers (even though the damage is already done), who unfortunately not only have the most complete team, but have everything aligning for them too.
Lebron could kill a nun and not be suspended. If he killed two, they'd find a way to postpone the games.
Day one going well so far: Milwaukee wins, Clippers lose.
clippers losing today is a good start - but it will be a long series...
Its a long shot but I'm rooting for the Grizzlies at this point. Anyone but the Clippers tbh, that team is just full of bags.
Rooting for the Bucks. I loved the Admiral and (get ready to cringe) the Big Ticket, so obviously the Greek Freak is my favorite non - Spurs player.
And I like Jrue Holiday, Middleton, Lopez and of course coach Bud. Them winning would be huge for the city of Milwaukee, other small market teams and stars/superstars that actually want to compete.
Obviously rooting against nearly everyone out West, except Denver, but especially the Lakers and Clippers. No need for further explanation, IMO......
Poor Celtics. They played their heart out and Nets decide the last quarter they'll put them away.
Nets are gonna crush the Celtics. This was their chance with Brooklyn rusty. They'll win a game or so but it'll be no contest.
Has anybody noted that Danny Green has a chance to ring with his 4th team? That would be cool.
FTL. Always and forever.
There's a lot of interesting story/legacy stuff hanging in the balance this year: Lebron could get 5th ring w/ 3 teams, Kawhi could get 3rd ring w/ 3 teams, Giannis could win his first before he turns 27 (earlier than LeBron or MJ), Utah could finally win a le...
LeBron catches a break with CP3 injured shoulder.

Tbf, CP3 has gotten hurt in every playoff run of his career, tbh.
Feels like it, tbh. Hope it's just a neck stinger.
On the same game, I watch AD and as talented as he is, he's easily rattled. It's amazing that some have started a campaign to call him the best PF ever. Anyone ever here of the un-rattelable Tim Duncan? LA bias....
