Just curious since I don't think Cleveland is that desperate to unload him.
Absolutely would take him, but no way Cavs trade the pick.
Sure but Cleveland wouldn't do it.
Anyone would, but Cleveland can get a far, far better package for the #3.
Yes but I’d like to also keep the 12th pick too. Would probably need to be something like DDR/Walker/Samanic/#41 for Love/#3. Since they have sexton and garland they probably aren’t interested in Murray or White which would make trading with Cleveland highly unlikely.
Nobody is ever that desperate that they would unload a third overall.
Do these posters bother to think this stupid sh** out?
No. The answer is no.
Same logic as "Lonnie Walker sucks but another team is going to give us a lottery pick for him."
That's more conceivable; but because does Lonnie Walker really suck?
Dude has all star potential IMO; but he's on the Jabari Parker path so far.
Christ man.
Yeah. The "dejounte is a low iq IG baller but we could get a top 7 pick for him" guys are hilarious.
Absolutely. Spurs will never tank hard enough for a pick that high. Love sucks but I'm sure he could be flipped to a desperate contender in the last year of his deal
Who do we unload to Cleveland for that #3?
Only if we get the 3rd pick AND get to keep 12th pick too!
Obviously the Spurs would do it since they are going to need to fill DeRozan's salary slot anyways to make minimum payroll and won't sign anyone worth a this summer with that money. Question is basically do you take the #3 pick for free?
Absolutely. I'd pack the Coyote's and Sean's suit cases also for that pick.
What would the actual trade be? Sign and trade DeRozan and our 1st round pick for Love and theirs? I'd do it but Cleveland wouldn't. Green/Suggs/Mobley at least two of those will be there so why would they do that? All of those guys have higher upside than any of the prospects at 12 (I mean, from what we know anyways. I know sometimes later picks pan out to be better than we thought)
The theoretical trade mentioned would be taking him into our space for #3.... which is a no brainer..
If Cleveland needs cap space I can see them dumping a player along with a protected future first of they have to. Not this year, of course not.
I would definitely do it, but Cleveland is not really in a rush to unload Love.
Not a chance for Love with 3rd pick to spurs but ...
3rd to Golden for Mobley
12th & maybe 14th to Cavs or out 41st
7th for Wagner and Love to spurs maybe 14th (for 41st)
win win win
Golden for now
Cavs with some good prospect (s) with cap for Sexton
spurs with Wagner or Sengun
You realize the Cavs have to make that offer? Why would that? Their GM can't be that bad . . . right?
Anything less than Giannis and the 1st round pick, the Spurs should stand pat, IMO
