I have no doubt that there are some Americans (perhaps including some dual citizen Afghan-Americans) who work for NGOs or have family stuck in Afghanistan, etc., etc. that feel compelled to stay and risk it.

1) if an american had family the family.could easily all go to america. No problems at all.
2) if they wanted to help afghans.in an ngo they would be able to help much more abroad than under Taliban rule
