    hypothetical:

which would bring more money and prestige to ISIS, US withdrawal, or staying to fight them?
(perhaps not so hypothetical, there was no ISIS before the US invaded Afghanistan and Iraq.)
But there were certainly violent Islamic extremists and rivaling factions all fighting for power there before we invaded.

If Trump were still president and had done this withdrawal it would have not gone any better and he would be saying something like "promises made, promises kept" regarding his pledge to get us out of Afghanistan.

    Stephen Miller is disgusting.
I can see why you would want to convince yourself of this if you voted for Biden tbh.

hater sure does miss his main man Trump. Gonna be rough for him when his man crush DeSantis wipes out.
    Fake news.

Voted Biden. Also in 16 I abstained although I still believe ler woulda been worse. USA has some of the tiest candidates in history.

Now praying Biden somehow can survive because Kagala is even worse than all 3 mentioned above

I voted Bernie in the primaries

I can see why you would want to convince yourself this isn't the case if you vote for Trump tbh.

Trump's timetable for withdrawal was even more aggressive (May 1st) and that's just a fact.

We can dream all we'd like but that doesn't equate to reality. This is Biden's mess and his actions are akin to being a traitor especially as he sold out all those Americans/Refugees to the Taliban with that list of who's who.
It's a coping mechanism. Imagine being a biden voter. They need to tell themselves this to continue to function.

    Lost Iraq

    Lost Syria

    Got KOed vs Vietnam

Got KOed and ended up in the ICU vs Afghanistan

A sensible prize fighter would retire tbqh. We are a couple punches away from a vegetative state

The reality is Trump struck this deal with the Taliban to leave. You can live in a fantasy land and pretend it didn't happen all you want.
I'm not blind to the fact that there was a plan/agreement in place... But we're into late August '21 as you keep mentioning Trump's plan to leave by May '21. Looks like someone, Biden and his admin, didn't stick to the plan, fudged it all up, and now you and them are using Trump as the scapegoat for their inept actions.

You can keep playing make believe and whatifs but none of that matters one bit because this is all Biden's fault and the fault of those who have been destroying our nation and the world abroad in his and Obama's admin which are the same damn characters. These same rejects party with the reject from the Bush admin too and they're all the same trash tbh.

I'm not sure I'd even call Syria a war by our standards. Sadam did get overthrown in Iraq and there is at least a democratic government there now.

The problem is we're not a prize fighter. We're run by the MIC and people who don't learn from the past.

    interesting wrinkle

We should say we'll do it as long as no more Americans die, then leave anyway.

sure, but the FBI's most typical terrorist profile before 2001 involved Puerto Rican nationalism.

worth noting also that Al Qaeda's origin story had a lot to do with UBL being pissed off by US boots on the ground in Saudi Arabia.

The difference between a May exit and a September exit is it gave the Taliban all of the summer "Fighting" season to prep to take over the country.

Lmao the Middle East has been a hole filled with terrorism and war since the beginning of time. But of course leftists blame the US and the west somehow. Never mind that the victims of Al Qaeda and isis kill 99% Arabs

Lol Iraq is basically Iran, our sworn enemies ally. They basically told us to GTFO and we are doing it as were not welcome.

We basically took over 1/3 9f Syria right now. Us and a bunch of jihadis. I do agree its close to a stalemate but our objective to remove Assad and make our pipeline failed.

Its not that our MIC doesnt learn. The problem is they have learned too well how to do the money laundering scheme to take money from taxpayers and funnel it to their chests. Its a racket.

We created al qaeda. Armed jihadis in Lybia. Flew them and rearmed them in Syria. Not to mention our allies are the Saudis, Qataris and UAE who control.these jihadis.

They are 100% correct to blame the USA
