Query:::Why would MSM/CNN/MSNBC be so adamant about keeping the schools open. CNN is wild eyed about it and I can't understand their angle. Sure, that's what Biden wants, but it goes beyond that reason. MSM, especially CNN wants it more than Biden! I just can't figure it out.

The risk is always going to be higher for them, but vaccines have reduced their risk substantially as well. Generally they're able to live normal lives within reason. I'm not sure what mandates would make them incrementally safer.

Anything that would tend to diminish the caseload would save lives period.
Like masking, ventilation, vaccines, testing, contact tracing, quarantine and sick leave. COVID passports seem to be working relatively well for Germany. Temporary circuit breaker shutdowns for particularly intense outbreaks no doubt save lives and bend the curve. If the Omicron e is going to recede quickly anyway, why not start schools a few weeks late then tack the missed days onto the end?

I think I would have better articulated my point if I said I don't want the fully vaccinated to bear the same burdens wrt mandates as the unvaxxed. Keep schools open but require vaccination. Same for events, public places, etc.
