How about this.
$3-6 at the Mirage, yours truely straddles (so it's $6 to go already) and finds lovely pocket rockets. Pot gets raised before me, I reraise, it gets raised again to cap it out at $15 preflop with 3 players in (and a few more out after the 3rd raise, so IRRC, the pot was around $75 preflop).
Flop brings blanks: 3, 9, 6 rainbow.
Action quickly capped out to another $15. All three of us stay in, so the pot is up to around $120.
Turn in an 8. No worries from me from any draws. Action capped again ($30 this time so add 90 to the pot to make it $210).
River brings a K. Any face card put me on edge a bit thinking someone might have hit trips. So I check in first position and only call the $6 raise. Still three players, so the pot is $234.
Raiser turns over pocket Jacks, so I'm in good shape. I show my pocket aces and finally after looking at his cards for a few more seconds the last player turns over 8-3 off suit for two pair.
That's right... 8-3 off suit.
