This is something that could be communicated and would show support from the Spurs. It's clearly a burn all bridges situation and it's coming from the FO.
Yes, in 2022 mental health issues get treated with kid gloves. The Spurs would have given him all the time and help he needed. They wouldn’t have thrown away the asset. That’s true even if he had an “episode.”

For them to erase him from existence, he had to have done something that makes him radioactive. For them to maintain absolute radio silence, they must be protecting someone or something.

For nobody to pick him up off waivers, even on a flyer, also is telling.

He still shows up on Spurs roster on nba.com. So the cover up story isn’t flying.

Yeah, it's weird. You can buy a Wieskamp Spurs jersey on NBA.com but not only is there nothing for Primo, it doesn't even autofill his name. That means the NBA Store went in and deleted his entire existence.

    https://store.nba.com/

You can find Luka Samanic Spurs apparel. Ca jersey. Dejounte Murray Spurs jersey. Not even a Primo landing page or autofill.

    More likely PATFO being PATFO.

I can still buy a Miles Bridges jersey on NBA.com

    Let that sink in.

    Yeah ok, I'm sorry...
But with them given us nothing to really go on we might just have some fun with it.

Heck, I still remember that the Primo pick for their 12th broke Spurstalk for a bit on draft night

I don't understand what was so urgent about cutting him with what seems like an hour or two of deliberation considering how included he had been with the social media promotion and his contract pickup.

Nobody would have noticed had be been held out another game or two with the glute issue, and him not being at the game could be marked down as treatment related.

They could have bought a good working week of time to come to a conclusion without any imminent arrest or charges.

Why the urgency? Primo's statement wasn't exactly a denial of anything or a stand against accusations, so I don't know what to think.

If it was a non-criminal situation, they could have at least gotten a break on the money in a buyout.

More unprecedented bad luck for this franchise.

It'd obviously be premature and foolish to place blame before any facts come to light, but either they're just the unluckiest franchise extant or there's something in the water here.

Too many bizarre things happening seemingly abruptly with little to no explanation.

bruh why are y'all talking about murder? Do any of you live in the hood? Does this kid look like a killer? GTFOH
What does a killer "look like"?

NBA slowly building a Las Vegas franchise on the DL. Miles Bridges and Primo penciled in to start. Ime Udoka can coach them.

Assuming he doesn't have a longstanding criminal issue that could send him to jail or put him on a sexual predator list, we should all be so lucky. Dudes a multimillionaire that won't have to work the rest of his life if he invests properly. He's 19.
He'll be bankrupt in 3-4 years if he never plays another game.

One (perhaps overoptimistic possibility): Primo suffered a mental health crisis as a result of previous trauma (PTSD), asked to be released so he could focus fully on his mental health, and the team granted his request to maintain goodwill. Then, after two years when his contract ends, he will have received mental health treatment, taken strides to overcome his challenges, and then signs a new, multiyear contract with the team and picks up right where he left off.
Right where he left off would be as a ty player. No thanks.

The thing is, if you don't address the issue, people are going to assume the worst. Now everyone thinks he's a murderer or rapist, and if he did anything less, it would be cruel to let people associate him with those crimes.

Maybe he was pulling something in the locker room, no pun intended, and the other guys weren’t having it. And as an organization, they decided to bury it. Thus, no arrest or media story. Not sure what you tell other teams when they call to ask why though.

Unless he pulled a gun on someone in the locker room then you just trade him if he's being a cancer.

Is this the end of Primo's career? Or can he somehow find his way back onto the roster after a couple of years, when his mental challenges will have (hopefully) been rehabilitated?

The thing that bugs me, whatever it was has to be bad enough to scare teams off claiming him off waivers. If its the spurs waived him out of respect for ptsd or whatever i dont know if that is enough. Its not like the spurs would call every team and violate hippa for the lulz.

Whatever happened is bad enough to alert the nba office or the spurs know never be good enough and won't report to any team so waiving him is no biggee.

To the idea that primo can be back, i dont see it. Hes so raw in ways that need addressing. I know murray lost a year but murray was driven, primo is more like white (white famously was polished when drafted)

Futile to even ask considering the range of possible causes thrown in this very thread.
