Looney's just murdering the Kings rn jfc
They get it close and then give Thompson a four point play to close the quarter wtf Sacramento
Curry vs LeBron, get ready for all the corny narratives from analysts and casual fans everywhere
Guess we gotta keep rooting for the Lakers for one more round.
Sabonis totally exposed. Fake all-star. As bad as Bam can be, he always brings it defensively.
Kings just forfeiting this game now. Pathetic leaving Curry wide open there.
Warriors over Lakers in 7 (if James and Davis were closer to 100%, would go Lakers in 6).
Starting with the national media spinning this and further mythologizing these frauds by pretending this furthers their "legacy", when it reality they were always expected to beat this superstar less, defenseless, inexperienced team and if anything should be embarrassed that it was a colossal struggle to do so.
LOL Sabonis making Kevon Looney look like Bill Russell
Stupid ass coach brown
why in the did he take davion mitc off of curry who was wearing out curry
ing moron
and sabonis sucks - cant rebound, cant shoot, cant handle the ball, cant keep looney off the ing glass
pathetic
Curry's gonna go off for 50 sometimes and ain't you're gonna do to stop it but Sabonis blowing all those rebounds to Kevon Looney in the third is where they lost that game. What a disgraceful performance.
I think 30 plus great players gonna get that but for a 40 or 50 piece is bad defense and or coaching.
I’d rather trap a guy and let looney Layton score than ti let Jimmy or Steph get 50 plus
When they had 30 through three quarters
Whatever scheme you had wasn’t working… double and trap
If you allow someone to get 49 or 50 that has 30 before the end of the third
You allowed that
As for Sabonis
Looney dominated him as a role player 3 of the 7 games that can’t happen
To a second team all nba player
He doesn’t suck but way overhyped
They'd have been fine if Sabonis wasn't getting skull ed by Looney on the glass. I remember when the Spurs used to let Amare go nuclear every game and just keep everyone else in check. I think Stoudemire averaged 39 ppg on the Spurs back when that was a lot one series, I want to say the 05 WCF.
So who do the Kings obtain next year to solve their interior issues? Getting dominated by Looney is totally unacceptable lol
Brown and Budenhozer are both from Pop's coaching tree. I remember Pop's philosophy was never to double team a player but shut down everybody else on the team. It worked against the Suns with Amare, but it also had moments where it backfired bigly such as the Mavs with Dirk in '06. It's a hard strategy to implement because the rest of the team has to be very disciplined to shut down everybody else which is still difficult.
I wonder who the refs will favor in Lakers vs Warriors.
Damn was really looking forward to a Nuggets Kings WCF too
IDK, but LeBron flops better. Advantage Lakers.
ESPN would have thrown up if they had happened.
Steph showing he's the only true star on the floor. Game 7 is where the stars shine and role players are illuminated by their glow.
Poor showing yesterday but proud that they took the defending champs to a game 7. Future looks very bright with the young core. I remember coming to this board after getting kicked off kingsfans.com over 20 years ago. Brought enough people with me that we had our own Kings subsection for a little whileThank you timvp and @KoriEllis for welcoming me here and never banning me despite all the trolling over the years, it's been a good run. Peace.
I think the Bucks thought they could skate by w/o Giannis. But I noticed he wasn't as tenacious post injury as he was before. He'd not try and block every drive that Miami made and that was telling. He says he's loyal to Milwaukee, but if he's stuck on 1 le and his prime is being muddled in early exits, how does he not have wandering eyes? their wings were going to be their downfall nonetheless as well as Middleton not being defensively stout. But, Coaching was not good especially if you have my gf, who knows little about basketball asking why they didn't call timeout in both game 4/5 when Miami went on runs to cut late double digit lids down.
Can't knock the history of the Lakers vs. Spurs. That was the halcyon days of basketball for me as I was a baby for most of the Magic/Kareem/Worthy heyday. I joined this sight because I respected the Spurs and what they were able to achieve in the 00's and if they get Wemby, may be back in the fold shortly. We came out and closed out the Grizz in the fashion I haven't been certain this Laker team was capable of doing. Now we get to face off vs/ the Warriors and it'll be a great series (hopefully) for the LeBron vs. Curry V.
Giannis seems like a different dude. Not to say he wouldn't have wandering eyes. But feels like he's a guy who will stay loyal as long as he feels the organization is making good faith efforts to keep them compe ive. He could still leave, but I think it would take a lot and the right scenario to persuade him to go. For instance, maybe in his early-mid 30s, an opportunity to go to Toronto comes up if Ujiri is still there.
Golden State has become pretty unlikable, even more so than LeBron and the Lakers, at least for me. As long as Anthony Davis neutralizes Looney on the glass and Vanderbilt does a decent job on Steph with not too much help, then I think the Lakers actually have a pretty good shot. Even with Steph going nuclear, if the Kings did a better job on the defensive glass, I think they win game 7.
I have the feeling Draymond will try to hurt AD
Warriors are a great basketball team, can't deny that - but they are a bunch of insufferable gots
I thought I hated the Phil Jackson era Lakers but I hate the Warriors much much more
At least I can respect the Lakers because those battles made each others better
Lolol I forgot all about kingsfans. I had an account there
