I did. That's the point. Such decisions tend to leave a mark, especially when they're so public. At some point you really can't have many of those without calling for eventual impeachment proceedings.

I can’t fathom that people actually argue that the presidential records act allows a president to unilaterally decide what is and is not a presidential record vs a personal item.

the presidential records act was literally created in response to Nixon not turning over the tapes. There’s no reason they would have passed a toothless bill that would have allowed nixon to just say “lol it’s my personal property” and be done with any obligation to preserve records
