Okay, I'm not the only one who caught that. Maybe he meant De Colo?
Duncan is 6'11'' in shoes, not barefoot as this seems to suggest. NCAA listings are barefoot and he was listed as 6'10'' at Wake Forest.
In shoes: Silver is 6'5'', Gobert is 7'1.5'', Wembanyama is 7'4.5''.
Round up (which is what they should be doing with his barefoot height, but NBA listings are inexplicably screwed up) and you get the 7'5'' number we often hear, but I agree he looks even taller.

Manu v. Elliot: Difference in height looks wrong. Two full bricks is 2.25 inches = 4.5 inches not including mortar. Hmm.
Mainly when I see the shoes I think they all appear to be wearing tennies except Duncan. Duncan I discounted already from the height analysis due to him being closer than the others.
Ultimately, I had to consider that Elliot may just have taller shoes than the others or due to the angle and him being slightly closer that is why he measures higher on the bricks relative to D Rob and Manu. Or maybe the brick wall is not level, LOL.
Anyway I ended up at a worst case of 6 foot 10 barefoot for the Admiral. Perhaps he was 6 foot 11 or 11.5 back in the old days when they measured with shoes to get him up to 7 foot 1 inch which always sounded cool to hear, him being OVER 7 foot. Given his height, back issues (perhaps), and age, he could easily have lost an inch or more from his peak height.
From there I think a modification is needed to chop off Wemby's large head of hair, compared to the other poor old bald guys. I am amazed that I am older than most of them but still have considerably more hair.
The Wemby hair modification appears to be worth about a full brick. That still leaves him 3 full bricks taller than David! I have those bricks at standard 2.25" height which gets us to 2.5" with mortar or 7.5 inches. Thus, according to this picture, Wemby appears to me to be at least 7 foot 5.5" tall, which would be a barefoot height! Given he wears a size 21 shoe and Davis a 15, IIRC, maybe take another half inch from that and say worst case he is 7 foot 5 barefoot.
Most importantly, I think this clearly means he is at least 7 foot 8" when in shoes and with hair. (bonus "Fletch" clip included for the uninitiated)

wemby's height on its own isnt what makes him remarkable. KP is listed as 7'3 too
its wemby's wingspan combined with that height (we dont have an actual standing reach measurement that i know, but its certainly higher than anybody in the nba right now that tacko fall is gone)... in addition to his unusual agility at that size. its evident watching him play that his effective size and defensive range is truly unheard of
Great points! And I realize that if Wemby is possibly 7 foot 5.5 barefoot, then when I added the 2.5 inches for his hair I forgot to add 1.5 inches for shoes which would make him round up to an incredible 7 foot 10 with hair!
As far as his wingspan, as we continue our favorite latter day Paul Bunyan tale, I first heard 7 foot 9, then 8 foot even.
And not to overplay the hair aspect, but in between haircuts or if he grew a little (which he doesn't need to of course), an 8-foot standing height with hair and shoes is within his reach! (pun intended somewhat...)
For now, saying he is 7 foot 5 or 6" sounds about right...

You guys are too easy though! Two other obvious flaws in my analysis include the possibility that the bricks are smaller than standard as well as perhaps someone snapped the photo holding their phone crooked.
Or am I overthinking it?

Earlier, I had considered a wisecrack about Mexican bricks. My ex-father-in-law was an architect and used Mexican brick for his home, they are smaller than the typical brick.
