San Antonio Spurs have announced their Vegas Summer League schedule
Friday 7th vs Charlotte - 8p ESPN
July 9th vs Portland - 7p ESPN2
July 11th vs Washington - 9:30p NBATV
July 14th vs Detroit - 7:30p NBATV
All games will be taking place on the main court in Thomas & Mack
So that first game could be Wemby vs. Brandon Miller and that second game could be Wemby vs. Scoot.
My guess is those are the only two summer league games Wemby plays. (That especially looks like the plan because those following two games are on NBATV and not on ESPN.)
yeah I was noticing that too. Now I hope Wemby plays the last two and sits out the first two.
So we might see all the 1 year players?

Definitely the most hyped Summer League in Spurs history. Imagine Wesley/Branham/Sochan/Wembanyama will all be in the starting lineup for at least the first game if I had to guess. I’m sure Wemby and probably 1-2 others will get shut down midway through but still.
Throw in a few of the other guys like Barlowe and Cissoko and we legitimately have like 6-7 guys that could be with the main group playing together in the regular season.
obviously will be thrilled to watch wemby... but this will more so be a test to see
a) how sochan's shooting has been coming along
b) how easily branham can score against this compe ion
c) if wesley looks like a point guard
d) if champagnie's shooting from last year was real
im sure barlow will look good against this compe ion, i really think his evaluation will come down to big league games

Apparently, Wemby was always going to Vegas from July 7-9 to appear at something called the NBA Con at the Mandalay Bay hotel.
Not quite sure what it is (looks like one of those All Star Game sideshows) but I may check it out depending on conflicting Summer League schedule, price, state of sobriety, etc.

Gotta wonder if there is any pressure from the league to have him play in at least one of the ESPN games.

Devin Vassell will also be at NBA Con in Vegas next weekend.
Also appearing (in addition to Wemby and Vassell) will be Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, Jerry West, Paolo Banchero, Scoot Henderson, Trae Young, CJ McCollum, Mike Conley, Tyrese Haliburton, Ray Allen (yuck), Karl-Anthony Towns, and many others . . .
