So much for Steve Kerr being the Spurs next HC. Don’t see that happening now tbh, unless Pop retires early for some reason. Kerr will be coaching elsewhere by then.

Only 79 at the end of this deal? Could sign him to another five-year contract after that, tbh.

I saw your name and knew you’d be right along to inject your political bull . You’re such an asshole. Recycled wine from Pops is better than anything you’ve ever accomplished.

Judging by those stories about how generous he is with tips and lavish team dinners, not to mention unheralded gifts, he gives away millions a year.

Good for Pop. I mean - you all knew he wasn’t going to leave once they won the lottery, right? The contract seems fair. He is the “President” and “coach”. Then again, it ain’t my money so who cares.

He’s going to need to use the next 5 years to find his Spoelstra - once he decides to kick himself upstairs to the front office for good.

    Must really love Wemby

Great news, tbh. No one I'd trust more to bring Wemby along at the proper speed. The last thing you want as an organization is a head coach who is feeling pressure to win ASAP that starts putting too much on Wemby's plate too soon.
Maybe this means Pop thinks Wemby is 5 years away? Maybe we should prepare for a really long winter. I kid.

Kerr will go back to GMing or commentating after Curry retires. Kerr's been on Easy Street this whole time and knows it.

Damn. The three-year, $14 million per year sounded pretty much settled the last I checked in. I wonder if they got him to commit to two more years by giving him $2 million extra per season. Or maybe there aren't as many opt outs.

Whatever the case may be, this is an awesome turn of events, IMO. The last thing we need as Spurs fans is for a coach to come and do what Jeff Van Gundy did in Houston -- run Yao into the ground chasing extra wins so he doesn't get fired.
Chinese national team finished off the job making him play on a stress fracture in the Beijing Olympics.
