Maybe Mahomes thought it was the Super Bowl?
Maybe Mahomes thought it was the Super Bowl?
I think so too, and the media loves to sensationalize the AFC because that's where the big name QBs are but the NFC has the more complete teams.
Jets, Bengals, Chiefs, Jags in some order with Buffalo, Chargers, and one other AFC North or East team get in as wild cards on the AFC side
With the NFC you have the Niners, Detroit, Dallas, Saints (? - bad division) with Philly, Seattle, and then one of NYG/Vikings, I think
Green and Gold baby
Pack is back
get back to me when you've got a quarterback
and sure, your first two games you'll still probably win because the compe ion is awful, but then it gets harder after that
I have the Packers going like 9-8, the only reason it won't be completely putrid is because of the fairly easy strength of schedule, particularly in the first half of the season
Won't be enough for a wild card birth
The team is stacked though, objectively speaking. Prescott's mistakes mostly come in the playoffs. And no more Kellen Moore (the Garrett sycophant) is a boon.
Mr Peabody got it all figured out
Dallas defense has led the league in takeaways two years in a row and near the top in sacks and defensive efficiency ratings as well, and they're going to wow people this year.
Prescott ing it up and throwing a pick 6 in a low scoring game is a different matter, but.....
Who? McCarthy?
It’s before ur time
AFC is still better but the gap isn't so enormous and steadily closing.
My Chiefs buddy proclaimed before the season the 49ers would barely make the postseason outta the AFC
Week 1 loss at Home to the LOLns
So, how long before Kadarius Toney gets the axe? I'm gonna say tomorrow. Dude literally single-handedly cost the Chiefs the game.
Lions are the best team in the NFC North, though.
Minnesota should regress. They were much more lucky than good last year. I think they finished the season with 13 wins and a net negative point differential or something like that.
If Detroit's defense is legit they're gonna be a problem.
Looked great at times.
OTOH Chief receiver's sucked ass.
6? ball drops.
Head got Kelce out too.
But yes Lion DLine looks ready to compete with any team.
Dbs not so sure.
If the DT Jones played... Chiefs probably win
Did his price tag just increase? Wise man once sang "Must be the money"
I don't agree. Jones is notoriously not good against the run and their defense in general was plenty good enough to win. The defense gave up 14 points.
The offense lost KC the game. Aside from the most ridiculous drop show we'll ever see from the wide-receiver-by-committee thing the Chiefs have going on, particularly Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore, Kelce's absence was obviously the biggest problem, and the line in the end couldn't hold up without holding. Reminded me a lot of the Cowboys playoff loss to the Giants in 2007. Recall Patrick Crayton's huge drop on a deep ball and all the 4th quarter penalties from Flozell Adams, Marc Colombo, etc.

Mike Tirico really said this Lions win is an asterisk because there was no Chris Jones and Travis Kelce….
Chiefs literally have Patrick Mahomes…
I’m sick.

Streaming for the 2023 season is an A+ so far, hope it continues, record good pace for "1ststream" / also known in some places as crackstreams
Let's see Anthony Richardson, Trevor Lawrence, the Niners, and the Ohio Bowl.
