I would have to disagree.
why would you post up when you can shoot over anybody?
I would have to disagree.
Lol. That’s the genius plan? Trade Zach Collins for a championship piece? Tre Jones? Keldon Johnson? Pump up their value by showcasing how bad they are? Tremendous logic there.
Yes, let the 19 year old superstar take control of the team in year 1. This is not hard.
I missed the game, how did Toronto of all teams come back on us? I know we're going to lose a lot this season but you don't want to give up games. Bright side is Toronto is very close to bottom 6 so we helped them today.
Bombarded the Spurs with bull threes and the teams stagnated on offense, mostly underutilizing Wemby in the 2nd half.
The Raps shooting heated up in the second half, and also their coach did a better job.
Facts. MAYBE Vassell. That's it.
I hate when plays breakdown right from the start. Keldon and Tre Jones weren't on the same page on the switch.
Spurs out scored 22 points in fourth quarter and OT
Wtf
VW should get at least 20 and 10 every game
Spurs repeating their weakness from last season
Putting teams shoot! Uncontested 3Gs to lose the game
Raptors made 7 threes in the fourth quarter
Wtf
This was a hilarious result and was so reminiscent of how the great Spurs teams of the past used to blow games, just ridiculous stuff.
gotta give credit to the Raps esp Barnes and OG
TOR started heating up and Spurs missed Dev
This game was kinda on everyone. Wemby was not making himself known, and everyone else sucked after halftime. Pop lived up to his historic ty in-game adjustments self. Yeah our starting center shot too much and Jeremy is definitely not a PG. He's actually a very good hustle guy at the forward position but for some reason the priority is that he becomes a PG. This aint the triangle offence Pop! This aint Harper playing at PG for Phil Jackson!
Whatever. Next.
I disagree that none of the other players matter. The Spurs certainly need to see if Keldon or Jeremy is who they should keep and the PG experiment is them hoping they'll find a way out of that decision. But Collins being option #1 in the late game is beyond ridiculous. If you don't want to go to Wemby every time at least run plays for Keldon instead.
I know it was a different scenario/pressure situation but that final play in regulation reminded me of Game 6... all the little details that resulted in us not getting the final rebound. Missed 3 ball was from the same left wing...
At least the people who on Sochan after a nine assist game have something to about for a change.
I don’t think there was one particular scapegoat.
managing to lose that game after both of keldon buzzer beaters is pretty ty though
Inconsistency and unreliability are bad things, yes
Giving the ball to others to miss will help Wemby in the long run. You guys have the patience of children. Give it years and of waiting and hopefully by then Wemby will have EARNED the right to get the ball in crunch time over Zack Collins. Besides we aren’t trying to win anyways. Losing is good. Our role players that everybody loves have been in the league for 3-5 years now. It’ll take 8-10 years before we can say they are ready to learn how to win. Winning isn’t part of our timeline
That’s why Spurs lost. Granted the Spurs played awful in the 4th and OT. But also the Raptors played incredibly well hitting 7 3 pointers.
Yeah, people keep thinking that a skinny 19 year old kid is going to take us to the Final his first year. I can't wait to read how come Pop didn't play Wemby 30+ minutes in our game tomorrow..lol It's a process it is going to take some time and Yes Wemby has things he needs to work on just like every other player. One thing is that I will always give Pop credit for putting us in a position to have a legit chance in getting him so I will give him slack he needs in his last Swan year or years.
As far as what we have I think we have great building blocks we got our legit All Star we got potentially a great running mate in Vassell and a Jake of all trades in Sochan. We also got a ton of draft capital so hopefully we hit on some of those like we did with Wemby. Who knows what the future holds as it is shown your just one draft pick away from changing your franchise all we need is some more good luck..
Regression to the mean. Toronto shot 29% in the first half, and then they were on fire in the second half.
And the Spurs played re ed too. "Let's run plays for everybody else except our giant superstar!"
They actually surpass the expectations with .500 records after 6 games. Not too bad. I think they are very capable if they can learn from their mistakes. There are instances that they play great on bith sides of the court. They need to learn how to do that in 48 minutes. Tall order but that will come with experience. Again this season is more about learning. Keep pounding the rock.
Jones and Sochan were TERRIBLE today , bad play after bad play on both sides of the floor. I’m done with Sochan fr.
Should have won at end of regulation.
Freak of luck that Cedi knocked onto Wemby and made him lost the ball.
