I'm not fine with Russia annexing all of Ukraine. I don't know where you even get this from.

What we need is a negotiated end to the war. If it goes on long enough then Ukraine could end up collapsing. Russia is proving they can outlast them.

So use sanctions relief (if that's what it takes) and whatever else as leverage to get a negotiated settlement, with the threat of a snap back of sanctions and other stuff to help enforce it.
So later when Putin ignores whatever terms you wanted, what are you prepared to do?

Who was running against Clinton? Trump. Trump won. On Trump's first day in office America threatened to bomb him, his wife and their only child as they fixed to move into the White House.

All these ing years of indicting Russia and they ain't nowhere near our , El. in' nerve of this country.

    American Democracy, my ass.

We don't know that he will ignore the terms.

If the terms align interests well enough, there will be little incentive to violate them as the cost would outweigh the benefit of doing so.

Almost all of the financial support we gave Ukraine already should have been in the form of credit, not gifts.

Our country is just mind-blowingly financially irresponsible.

That is what Zelensky meant. I’m saying we never should have been giving this amount of free money.

What is the cost in your scenario? What is the benefit?

    You're not actually saying anything.

The cost is more casualties, more sanctions, and more money spent on a war for Russia. The benefit is maybe taking some more land. It's not complicated.

I don't think Russia wants a prolonged war. They want to end it and consolidate their gains.

Ukraine doesn't want it to to end if means losing any territory. That thinking needs to change.

that's all being done right now. You speak in such vague terms that it's meaningless -- of course peace could be had by all if both parties did...something....

So Russia doesn't need to change but Ukraine does.

This is why people can only conclude you are pro-Russia.

Russia should change, they don't have to. Big difference.

This "pro-Russia" line is empty criticism. It's like saying the Fins were "Pro-Soviet Union" when they agreed to a peace deal to conclude the 1939-1940 Winter War (because they lost territory).

It's a hyper emotional take to say that anyone who doesn't think we must spend unlimited resources to reclaim all territory for Ukraine is "pro-Russia".

    It's like you're a child throwing a temper tantrum.

Calm down. You're getting very emotional in your defense or everything Russia is doing.

How is supporting Ukraine hurting you personally? The US in general?
