Pop has legend status, he's the Present of the team and is well respected for his accomplishments.

Only death or Pop getting bored of the daily grind can stop him. The Holts aren't going to do and Wemby is too young to be vocal.

There's not a single coach in the NBA today that I wouldn't take over Pop at this point.

He's a clown, a ridiculously high paid one, at that.

the team would at least be fun to watch. and wouldn’t be on this loss streak.

you could hire d’antoni to get the spurs to the playoffs and then hire a real coach after that.

Jimmy Butler is 34 and Miami FO hasn't done a great a job giving Spo talent to work with. how could he not be thinking about coaching a "generational talent"?
He wouldn't be replacing Pop, Pop lost it a long time ago. Spo would be entering a situation with Wemby where he could become one of the all time great coaches.
and if he wants, he could ride that success until he's 70+ years old and senile.
Well, Pop isn't going anywhere until he wants to. Spo has taken two teams to the Finals since the end of the Heatles. As long as Riles is alive, Spo is as secure as Pop. Riles told LeBron to sit the F down when he wanted Spo gone in year 1 of the Heatles.

I actually think baseball managers may have overtaken NBA coaches for uselessness, because everything is now analytics, but it's probably close.
Yes Dave Roberts and Bruce Bochy have equal effects on their teams.

Who should replace him and why? We know he's not going to be around forever. Obviously everyone wants him gone now, especially after the cringe mic moment, so for who right now? Or, after his extension is done, who should replace him?
NO ONE CAN FIRE POP IN THE WORLD

Anyone would be better than the old man right now tbh. We’d definitely still suck ass with a different HC due to an extreme lack of talent on this roster, but I feel like a change of leadership, particularly to a younger, more energetic HC, would inject some enthusiasm into our young players tbh.
