How has international diplomacy worked with Putin?

Give some examples so we know exactly how you know international diplomacy works.

The Korean Armistice Agreement that stopped the fighting in the Korean War is violated to various degrees just about all the time. You're not going to get anything that's perfect with Russia either. The point is to at least try to bring an end to major hostilities through talks, which should be possible given that this is in both sides' interest to do so. It's not about "trust" -- it's about "interests".

Taking back Crimea and the land bridge that Putin wanted is simply not realistic. But I guess Zelensky still thinks this is possible so the fighting continues.

The point is to at least try to bring an end to major hostilities through talks, which should be possible given that this is in both sides' interest to do so. Korean armistice is enforced by USA and 30000 US soldiers. Korean border length is also only a tenth of Russia-Ukraine border and much more defensible. USA committing a quarter million US soldier to defense and protection of Ukraine is certainly one option, but you will have to increase the US defense budget significantly for it to work.
