Get this boy some help!
No, let’s wait until he’s ready before we give him competent teammates lulz
LMA? That’s interesting. Glad they’re bringing him into the fold. His midrange game was elite.
There's a weird unspoken pseudo-truth that "this is the hand they were dealt, they are trying to play it best they can". No, Victor is the hand they were dealt. It's like Pop is a G league coach now trying to get guys ready to play in the NBA. He even talks that way in pressers. How cheap are the owners that they won't insist on putting a team together after getting Victor?
yeah weather people like it or not, LA was unstoppable in the post unless you doubled him. He can teach Wemby a lot.
In a recent podcast, LMA said his college coach told him to pick three things to work on because trying to do too much on offense is often counter-productive.
He picked KG's fadeaway, Rasheed's high release and Timmy's turn towards the middle. That's more or less all he did in the post.
I'm not saying Wemby should be limited to a LMA role, but sometimes it feels like he overthinks things because he can do too much and is undecided what's the best play in that given moment.
Maybe he though LMA was dumb, and couldn’t retain more than that.
Those are some killer moves tbh, especially the Rasheed high release.
LA said on all the smoke he would break Wemby's game down and make him pick a go-to move that's unstoppable and he'd be most comfortable with.
Recently I read on Pop saying they were watching films of Jordan, Kobe, McHale, Hakeem… I really hope they could bring in Hakeem to work with Wemby’s footwork. Damn, the possibilities of this kid.
I’d be pissed off if Tim went and helped the rockets. Don’t really see Hakeem helping the arch rival.
Well for one, the best defensive team is wolves and they got a former DPOY.

Hakeem offered his workshops to Kobe, Lebro, Melo, McGee, Stoudamire… He doesn’t do it for Rockets only.
I was actually thinking this last night. If he worked with Hakeem during the offseason to work on his footwork would be awesome to see. Especially with how quick of a learner Wemby is.
Wemby is that kind of player where you max everything out in 2k and the only thing he lacks is experience. We are so lucky to have him and I just hope this FO does everything possible to make Wemby want to stay.
I remember him working with Howard at one point during Howard's Orlando days.
Tbh the first thing I thought when I saw Wemby's new Louis Vatton billboard the other day was, "This kid's too Hollywood for a small market like San Antonio. He's destined for a major market eventually." Obviously I hope this isn't the case, and lot will be determined over the next 2-3 years in terms of whether the Spurs can build a roster around this kid or not, but I wouldn't be shocked if he wants to play in LA or NYC eventually tbh. Hope I'm wrong and that he's a Spur for life. Time will tell.
